Well each to there own.
In reality the violence was much less severe in the 70's. We kicked and punched and were just lads having fun.
I hate the poncy do good attitude that comes out the left. Blokes are blokes and should fight each other.
Of course you bring up the racism to swing the argument but i talk the truth as i see it and its just my own opinion.
I would just like to see these mouthy kids **** off Chelsea to my face one day.
Then you would see this pensioner kick the living crap out of them.

Wow, sounds like a barrel of laughs. Blokes are blokes and should fight each other eh? Well, excuse me for not feeling the desire to batter someone because they support a different team to me, I enjoy the banter between rival fans but having a scrapbecause you don't support the same side is quite a pathetic way for grown men to behave. I come from the area that contains most of the moronic element of Cardiff supporters and to be honest, they're just embarressing. If hooligans want to gang up and fight each other fine, but they shouldn't pretend it's anything to do with football.

I think Malc is on the wind up here.
;)

If he isnt, i am sure we are all really impressed with how ardent a supporter of CFC he is and of course how rock solid he is when it comes to beating people up over a football match.

:p

You think you have it bad? Imagine yourself being an MK Dons supporter.
:)
Reading Man U , Liverpool , Arsenal and Chelsea fans moaning on here often raises a smile from me.
Most fans would give anything for a fraction of their success.

Depends what standard you grow accustomed to I spose.

We all hate sucess, we always have, i hate maureen and many of his player, but my god i wouldnt care if rafa adopted maureen`s attitude and won us the league.

I wouldnt worry about it, i would worry when no-one gives a rats ass about your club.

I just hope the chelsea fans dont turn into the mancs with all their ABU rubbish, one set of whiney fans in the EPL is enough.

Its about time someone twigged. It took all kin day. :D
Out of all the peeps you were one of my suspect first spotters.
Now stand in line for your beating. ;)

malc30, I didn't know you were 40!

It would be much more apt to have "I beta tested your mum" as your signature :D.
Also, wherever there are sports there is immaturity, it's shame, but it's true. Just try to ignore them :).

Nokkunwood. Excellent i would change my sig but i am an optimist. Don't be to cheeky though i may be your dad. Where and when was you born. ;) :p

A little bit of history.
Before 1958 football fans supported the teams that were near to them unless you came to look for work from elsewhere and still supported your home team.
In my area we had 1000's of Geordies working in mines so they had a love of Newcastle and Stoke City.
That all changed because of Munich 58. Busby had to build a new team with his Busby Babes and the whole country got behind them and it then became cool to support other teams.
Man Utd were loved during the 60's but come the 70's and the tables turned.
Supporters got sick to death of Utd and a universal hatred in England started on them and it hasn't altered.
If you asked a 1000 Stoke City supporters for their top two hated teams, Port Vale would be top and Man Utd would definitely be second. You could do this throughout the country with any other team and the majority would have their closest rival at the top and Man Utd would be second. This would add up to Man Utd being hated by most football fans in this country and it will take decades for Chelsea to take that title.
Of course the hatred of Utd is all to do with jealousy.
Its ironic that Man Utd are the most loved football team in the world.

And Malc30, you may be joking about the hooliganism but you missed the main hooligans out. Stoke City have always been at the forefront in the 70's and are still making headlines now. Its nothing to be proud of but at least we're good at something.

I think it's our popularity that irritates other fans them most. Even Liverpool at their most succesful period didn't have United's lustre and that's left their fans bitter. I quite enjoy the fact that we're hated because whatever happens at Chelsea at the moment, people are still paying more attention to Old Trafford.
