I shower twice a day, morning, lunch and nighttime. change the bedding once a day, wash my hands 5 times a day, wash teeth 5 times a day. I'm the type of person who gives off BO after a few hours without a shower as i expect a few on here are the same..

Totally, if you're not showering at least 3 times a day you're full on minging, like can you just imagine the dirt that collects over a few hours living in un filtered air.. The water i wash with also goes through 5 filters and my clothes are washed at 100c, mingers..

A lot OCD people in here :p and people brainwashed, thinking everything has to be super clean, or you will get ill
Hear, hear.

I shower when I start to smell. That can be 2-3 times a week, but seldom more.

Today's "must shower 2-3 times a day" mentality is too far towards the "OCD clean" end of the spectrum (with Victorian era "bath once a week" at the other extreme).

It's actually not good for your skin to be continually washing it.

But then it's also not good for your hair to be continually shampooing it, either, but again modern society dictates you must shampoo your hair every day.

We've just gone from one extreme to the other.

Seriously, showering twice a day is waaaay over the top.

If working from home, wash in the morning and shower in the evening. Normal commute days, a shower in the morning and wash in the evening. When its the summer showers AM/PM.

If going out, shower twice. Even if ill, a hot shower helps alleviate symptoms of a cold/aches even if for a short while.

In the winter; skin dries out so to avoid looking like Yoda - moisturiser comes to the rescue. :o

Bath once a week on a Sunday night ready for the week ahead. You don't smell me though I wear clean clothes every day and use deodorant and body spray. Teeth cleaned twice a day and hands washed all the time. In warmer weather I may have a mid week bath too if I feel a bit sweaty.

On a serious note you'll be surprised how many people don't bath/shower every day. You just think the one smelly person on the full bus hasn't, but I bet you at least a third haven't either.

Twice a day for me,once in the morning when I get home and before work that night.
It's not because I smell or have bad odor it's because I like to feel and smell clean.
I don't suffer from BO so guess I'm just lucky, have started growing a beard and that has become a bit ocd.... oils, combs, always trimmed nicely.
Guess I'm a bit of a pansy :)

I shower 24 times a day. Any less and I don't feel right.
It's hard being a dolphin in today's modern urban metropolis.

I shower once in the morning as a wake up ritual. If I develop stench during the day I'll shower additional times as requested by the nasally offended, how ever this rarely happens.

Isn't it time we had a "how much you wash" subforum considering how much ocuk loves bringing this up?

A shower once a day is the bare minimum that every adult should be doing. For people who do lots of exercise or an active or dirty job more than 1 is acceptable.

Showering once a day isn't bad for skin at all, I'm sure people get mixed up with washing hair - you shouldn't shampoo your hair everyday because it washes away the natural oils.

I myself shower once a day, shampoo my hair 3x a week. I do wash my face 3 times a day though because I have oily skin and I wash my hands lots of times a day
