So because you have a room that doesn't suit coloured lighting then it's rubbish for everyone? TBH when I'm watching BBC One it doesn't bother me that I'm getting a non reference colour reproduction, but we have white walls and neutral decor so the lights let us vary the ambiance of the room as we feel like it.
Also, I have a colourful piece of art in my hallway so reckon you've been misled that yours is a one off.

. I mean with both the monetary investment into both them (hub, bulbs), related tech (Alexa) and time (setting up scenes, automation) then the cost difference over the life between the white and colour bulbs isn't that excessive.
