Are you going bald?

Your skull/head have a good shape. Nothing to worry about. I would (homo)
Thanks, if it ever gets really bad, I'll look you up. :p

When did you start receding out of interest?

At least you have a normal sized/shaped head by the looks of it lol.
I remember very vividly, the first comment made about my hairline when I was either fifteen or sixteen, and I hadn't ever noticed or even thought about it prior to that. It started receding around then, but the thinning didn't take place until a few years later.

Thanks for the reply.

Same for me, had a comment in school but didn't bother me too much.

I am surprised at the number of people who say they were receding so early here.

I am sure I was one of the only people in my school, that or people hid it well.

Not going bald, although my head seems to be determined to shed hair by the truckload! Bathroom always looks like a hairdressers floor after I've washed it and dried off haha. Getting quite a few grey hairs though, and I'm 23. I don't mind however, I'm not insecure about greying hair.

I think that I know one other person from within a few years of me at secondary school that had it worse than me at school. He still hasn't admitted it, and has let it grow long. :p

I have gone from apparently being an exact likeness of Justin Hawkins, Bill Bailey and Jesus, to Karl Pilkington and Lenin.

My hairline is receding and recently appears to have accelerated a little. I've always had medium length hair so its a bit annoying, but comments like those in the OP are probably a bit tongue in cheek or they have other deep lying issues :p Mine isn't so bad that I have to worry about shaving it all off yet.

Similarly to what someone has said above though, the problem I will have when that day does come is I don't have a good bald shaped head and I'm dreading the day it does have to go. When it does have to go it will go and I won't live a day where even when I try to hide it it isn't hidden. I'll just get my hairdresser to tell me when "it's time".

I don't think its particularly fair for people to put down people that are down about going bald though. It is quite a sad thing for some people who aren't necessarily the most confident and outgoing sort that. Those people can't laugh off the jokes that they will inevitably receive from people in the same way others might.

EDIT - Oh, and if I had a choice I would definitely choose going grey over going bald.

Hi there - yeah I'm also going bald and have the receding hair line too. My brother in laws continuously try to wind me up about it and much to their annoyance I'm not in the least bit concerned about it.

I usually have my hair cut very short (no2) but it wouldn't bother me if I had to shave it all off.

Yes, but with my greyness came grey chin stubble, grey beard, grey ... wait for it ... chest hair. I'm 32 for heaven's sake! People place me at 40 :p

those that really worry about it tend to be deeply shallow people who have gone through life with nothing more than their looks. When thats all you have, it tends to mean a lot more when your hair goes.

That is completely untrue mate. So what you're saying is, if someone is losing their hair and they are worried about it, then they are shallow? How do you come to that conclusion?

My hair hasn't changed since my teens and have a full head of hair, i'm 29 next week. On the other hand, my brother who is 26 has started to thin a bit at the front and he is worried sick over it, taking finasteride pills to try and stop it and by your reasoning he is shallow for doing this? Or maybe he doesn't want to look like an old man before he is 30?

Hair is for women, real men have none on their heads anyway. I started to bald in my early 20's and its great!. Wahl + no guard = winnage.

Have been bald for years. Hasn't bothered me in the slightest it also makes haircuts cheap:p, however I do sport some rather stand out facial hair so I don't know if subconciously I have made up for the lack of mop:confused:

Going bald up top at 29, cant shave it off because i had a weird shaped head. Going to have to buy a ton of hats soon
