Are you going bald?

I completely BiC shave my head everyday in the shower and have a full beard. :) My hair started thinning on top in my late 20's so the whole lot came off, no messing about and I love being bald headed, I do agree though that some people have a head shape that will never suit the look at all. Also BiC's are by far the best razor to use on your head, forget all the fancy stuff, buy the big packs for 99p at the local Poundshop and throw them away when they blunt, cheap as chips and for some reason the best and closest head shave by a mile!

Something like this?

I saw photos of my granddad and he had no hair and my dad went the same way so when an opportunity arose at a party when I was 16 and it was decided I was getting my hair shaved off the joke was on them :D

Kept it short since then (no.2 usually) but when I was 22 I started to notice a difference in density with some bits having dark, thick patches of hair and others normal and other bits thinner, so I decided to remove the no.2 guard and go for a to the bone cut with the WAHLs.

Interesting comments though here ...

The depair of no hair from the comments on the other forums might be self feeding. If someone is down about losing hair they might stop looking after other areas due to the depression and round in a circle it goes.

That said if Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham and the Rock can have the girls moist being folically challenged then it goes to show that if you have a pride in the rest of your appearance all is not lost :)

But that's 4 guys out of, well, billions. And by some extraordinary twist of fate they got given bountiful physical gifts by the Gods.

*devil's advocate*

They're not ugly by any means but they're hardly male models either - most of their `gifts` were earned through good diet and hard work in the gym, not by chance of birth.

I'm talking about looks here. You don't earn good facial structures, strong chins, classical lines or whatever it is what makes them attractive to women. (I know what it is, money). You're born with it.

Bob Paris and Rod Jackson comes to mind. Both have the body of a young Greek God, whilst the one have the facial features to go with it, and the other looks like a frog on his best day.

Receded on top to the point where I now have an isolated tuft of hair on the front of my scalp. So, I shave the rest off weekly with bare blades on my Wahl. Can't say I'm particulaly bothered by it though as I kept my hair cut really short anyway when I had it.

I'm starting to recede pretty badly now. For ages it didn't really bother me when my Dad used to make fun of me sayin "The only thing that will stop your hair falling is the floor" However now its really starting to go at the sides and I'm slowly developing the little "island" of hair at the front.

Once that happens the lot of it is going. I already cut my hair short anyway, so it won't be much of a transition. I've shaved my head before anyway just to see what it looks like. Fortunately although I do have quite a big head it isn't an odd shape, and I'm not really skinny either so it won't look too weird.

Im a long hair of 8 years (as in, below my shoulder blades now) and recently giving dreads a go.

I am very slowly receding at the front but the rest is ok for now.
If Im anything like my dad I wont start going properly bald till Im 35ish. (26 now)

It bothers me a little, I would rather keep a full head of hair as it is a part of my image (or part of 'me') but when the time comes I will shave it off and bald gracefully.

25
I have a double crown and I'm certainly thinning there slightly, also going back at the front/sides and also a little thin there.

Yes it does bother me, I wasnt really happy with how I looked until I was 22/23 and then my hair started to go, it does annoy me.

When the time comes will I shave it all off? Yes. I do want to go graciously and just do it, no medication and no comb over. Hopefully I wont look to bad a skin head, although I am very slim and need glasses.Don't think the looks works imo, but hey ho.

My father has a full head of long hair. My half brothers are both balding, but my full brother and I are still fine. (He's late 20s)

Here's hoping. :D

It's not your father you need to look at. The genes affecting hair loss are passed down through your mother. It's your maternal grandfather you need to loo at.

Think I skipped a generation then and take after my father's father. My mom's father was as bald as an egg. Saying that, by brother is going bald fast, so maybe I got lucky.
