These are the steps to register:

Hit connect , you will connect to the lobby ( as a new unregistered user )
Click on the SELF Menu at the top , then select REGISTER WITH SERVER
A new window will open Enter:
a login name
and a password twice
Hit Ok and you are registered

Now to store your details ,
Go to Menu Click Connect go to address book again and click on the server name
Add your login name in the login name box
do the same for your password

Click connect to test your details.

Agreed. I upgraded to a Q9550 and the game runs a lot better, but the 8800GT is holding stuff back from high detail. Runs fine on normal with a bit of high thrown in, but no way high everything or ultra high!

I've joined up to Teamspeak now so just waiting for my game to arrive.

i know this is off topic...but i have a striker extreme mb i680 with nforce chip

can i stick an ati card in there was thinking of the 4870x2,much better value card than the gtx295, but i've heard that its not good to mix the drivers

any advice would be gratefully received

You cant have both, are you gonna sell the 295? But its not a problem uninstalling the old card. Simply remove it while off, boot windows, uninstall any Nvidia software, download driver cleaner, run driver cleaner, turn off, insert ATi card, install ATi drivers.

That should be safe enough. I know loads of people who dont even bother with Driver Cleaner.
 
sorry gord ,i dont have a 295 gtx i was comparin the 2 cards as possible upgrades...my main worry is the motherboard with the nforce chip in there....if i stick an ati card in there will react badly with the nforce chip as nvidia and ati dont mix well...spose wot im sayin is am i stuck with havin to have nvidia cards because the mb has an nvidia chipset in there...i know i cant cf but its 1 card so....

Hmm I would like to know how this is possible too. 4 and a half hours played, 800+ points which means he was killing 3 guys or equivalent every minute for 270 minutes. The top player, unsurprisingly L33, gets 1200 points in 50 hours, or one guy every 2.something minutes.

So either something untoward is going on or theres an obscure scoring mechanism in-game that makes the whole point of points pointless. That notion kind of appeals, I like ranking when im playing DoD but ARMA, seems unimportant.
 
There were a couple of hackers a few days back, one guy had a score in the hundreds just a couple of minutes into one of the missions.
 
Well just thought I would let you know, just finished building my rig and installing a few bits and bobs! Will be on tomorrow for sure :D
 
lol, told ya :)

Had an excellent game of domination with just me and defiance, lol. I got ranked up and had lots of kills to boot :) love the smaw/sniper combo
 
Sniper.Smaw is what i use as well, last night i made soem really daft mistakes in that dom map :(

para in to the 2nd townyou was all attacking from teh south, thought id attack from teh north, in my rush to get in to postion didnt notice the 3 art postions near me and teh tank or the 6 soldiers who was there... any hows i died when i did notice i was only 60 feet from them lol

does any one have a logitech 3d-pro joy stick, need to set it up for arma2 if any have it can you send me teh profiel for it or help me set it up tried last night and ran in to a few issues of me not fully knowing what i was doing :o

im looking forward to weekend when i can fully get in to map, not easy to get in to a map when you get home for 8.30pm spanish time and have to go at 11.30pm :(

also enjoyed the dom mission more than longest day.. should e renamed longest heli flights :)
 
When we started the domination map last night, everyone ran to the crates and started arming themselves but when I tried I had no options at all. Are the ranks carried over from the previous games?
 
Well, I have not started with all the tweaking, the game seems good and I can imagine it being a lot of fun. It does not look great but performs well. If I follow the tweaks will it make it look much better?

Also I cant find the patch the link I see on these forums doesn't take me to a patch :(

No there not mate, should be no reason why you couldnt pick a weapon i know of
