few new weapons, vehicles, APCs and choppers, few more performance optimizations, new green faction, minor things like stance indicator, steam workshop, 'stream friendly' UI etc. Nothing new on the map side.

We have just set up an arma 3 beta wasteland server to go alongside our Epoch server, it is running the Dev build so make sure you choose it in steam. But here are the details:

Can't get on the server at all at the moment. Pick my team and see the map loading screen then it looks like a receive data window behind a window saying cannot open object a3\characters_f\common\headgear_placeholder.p3d. Click OK and the game crashes.

Verify your files in Steam as 1 file seems to re download - It happened to me.

Ah k will do that then. I did manage to get on if I clicked ok quickly though. Given up for now as I still have no idea WTF is going on. No one answers any questions. I can't tell who is talking, where they are on the map, where I am on the map. Real basic stuff that is frustrating me immensely. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out all the key mappings again as it wiped them with the update.

The setting for the voip names is the same as Arma 2 its in the file that dictates what the templates do under "VonID=1;"

Took me a while to figure that out on DayZ lol

sadly your server is packed with kiddies melbo. ATM theres a guy wreaking havoc in an APC in base (luke), someone spamming voip (moran) and someone constantly taking the **** out of some kid because they think the voice is annoying (TAW_boogerman).

was hoping a few of the wasteland regulars would show up but I only recognised a couple of names

Yup, it's like that on most servers. To be honest it's pretty much a waste of time running an Arma 3 server at the moment with no battleye/rcon.

Hopefully on full release most of the kids will go play Wasteland and DayZ stand alone and leave the coop servers alone.

We will have to get a night where we all get on it and have a session.

Hey guys how is performance so far with the Beta. Multiplayer FPS and so on I mean? SP was always fine.

For me, 25fps or so it's actually worse than the Alpha. Though I can't remember what settings I had previously, but i'd say it was the same setup

Tip, if you're getting low FPS, go to your documents folder, open Arma 3 folder and the Arma3.cfg file, and change max frames ahead from 1000 to 1

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000;

Change to

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
Then make it read only.

There was one on CPC as well, every 2mins or less he'd make a noise or wierd kiddy sounds. Soon after laughing and team killing, thankfully a quick message to Witcher and he was delt with. So nice work on that one

Just tried again as an independent. Killed 3 people (although it said 2 were friendly fire??), couldn't pick anything up from them. Bodies jittering all over the place and I got shot trying to loot some legs flailing about from under a door step. Don't get what i'm doing wrong and on top of that when I press M the map never shows where I am :confused:
