***ArmA 3 Thread***

Right - Campaign mode. I'm on the 'Preventitive Diplomacy' mission and have just been given control of an MQ4A Greyhawk drone to assist in my advance into a town.

Have connected up to it and managed to take control of it and its cameras. How on earth do you use it to attack anything from the camera targeting mode? I cant find a way to fire any of its missles from the camera mode? And how do you direct artillery strikes with it?

Ta.

If I recall correctlt You "click" and the icon changes to an "exploding shell" which indicates target is "lit". Wait a while and the "target" will be attacked.

SPOILERS:

Just managed to pick up a one month old TrackIR 5 with Track Clip PRO from the MM.

Cannot wait to try with A3.

Been on the fence for a while about a TrackIR, fence jumped :)

Its awful using TrackIr as a soldier, be prepared to be very disappointed if you only bought it for this.

TrackIr is awesome in flight sims like DCS World though.

I just flew it myself, press R to cycle known targets and let her rip.

Artillery strikes can be called in from either map screen (wherever you have the cusor), looking at a location or from the actual Greyhawk. Call it in using the support menu.

TrackIr is great in Arma even in infantry mode, sure it takes getting used to but once you have the knack of realigning with the weapon its fine!

Cheers folks, will give that a pop tonight. I've seen various videos online of how to spawn and use the Greyhawk in the game but it most of the vids seem to be aimed at people constructing user missions rather than going into how to actually use the thing offensively within the campaign environment. Even the Bis and Armaholic forums seem to be devoid of answers on how to use the MQ4A.

Quick question,
Been playing on sandbox mode and we have logged out. Do we still spawn where we left off at or do we start again as a new spawn ?
(Currently new to this game lol )

Fun night on CTI tonight. Joined OpFor and they were getting spanked hard. Managed to get pretty much 90% of our team in 3 Orca helicopters and get them to assault the only point we could. Was epic watching them insert from three different angles while 3 of us on a hill kept the enemies heads down with Zafirs and a GM6. Even turned the old NVGs off to admire the huge amount of tracer fire that was going both ways!

Hell we even had 1 guy licking in some IDF on the enemy point just before the helicopters touched down! Arma at it's best!
