***ArmA 3 Thread***

I had a little fly around Tanoa last night, it's a really nice map with lots of little details, those jungles areas are really dense too, can't see further than 10m in some areas.....also lots of WWII bunkers laying around!

Tried 1944 Ironfront Wasteland last night, and there's just something really odd about it - it feels like an old Medal of Honour game in terms of graphics, like Arma 3 has taken a massive step down in res/detail/everything?

Not a fan of the new lighting in game in 'normal' Stratis wasteland either - so damn bright and everything looks washed-out compared to the colours of before.

Any tips in making things better? Or is the general concensus that the changes made are a step in the right direction?

Google optimal Arma 3 settings, look on youtube and find what works for you.

I only have a basic i5 and 660ti can get some great setting and frame rates.

The thing is it used to be great - like really great. I really enjoyed the graphics and the lighting (been playing Arma 3 since I put together my gaming rig - i7-4770k, R9 290 - so around two years maybe?). Just now it looks a bit crap after this most recent update.

Exactly my thoughts on the new arma 3 graphic update, and many others, they say its more real, but its the opposite to me now, shame.

Dunno if been posted yet or if its even new but i saw this on a3 page on steam.

The final release date of Arma 3 Apex will be announced during the PC Gaming Show at E3 next week on Monday June 13th. The event will kick-off at 11:30 AM Pacific Time (click here for all time zones), and and will be broadcasted live on Twitch.

ArmA could do with some PBR shaders, but then I guess it's quite the effort to do metallic, roughness and more maps for everything that would need it. Would be nice though and you can then incorporate them into that silly Arma special way of writing shaders with the rvmats.

Tell you what's worrying me is the complete lack of enterable building I've seen from videos!

The fact exile (my chosen mod) relies on loot spawns.... They better be releasing an update with more buildings to enter, otherwise it makes a joke of the map!
