Opt out of the beta build, it fixed all of the crashing for me.
 
I also hit a small rock on my quad and got launched out to sea. :)

Drove round on a quad for 5 mins yesterday and suddenly hear a big noise in my room. Its using the motors on a 360 pad to simulate bumps :D
Not sure how well it works exactly but first game I can remember that does that.
Also shooting ground in front of me does similar
 
If theres any kind soul that can get the MGT Wasteland server running again I'd be most grateful, am suffering withdrawl symptoms atm and need my fix.
 
are there any other launch options to help performance ? -noSplash -cpuCount=4 -high -exThreads=7 -malloc=tbb4malloc_bi is what I have atm
 
^^ sounds a heady cocktail :p

Ive no proper proof beyond conjecture but I raised my i7 from 2.66ghz to 4ghz and max frames have near doubled sometimes. Also test windowed mode
Im raising the graphics quality to see where it will start to get slow again, seems CPU response required by this game is much higher even if its not showing on actual CPU load graphs particularly

I've been checking out this game quite abit, and I have to say that things in the players vicinity like, player models, vehicles, guns, grass, even trees all look astounding. What lets it down though is the distant terrain, the ground textures look very, very low res and need more noise, and the distant trees just look like they were made by a toddler with a paintbrush. If they can up the terrain resolution and fix the distant trees then this game could look superb, but it's consistently photobombed by horrific distant land. :(

Lodding is unavoidable to keep the performance. To be honest it looks fine to me when you turn up view distance.
 
True, but they could add noise to the distant textures to boost visual quality, and just redesign the tree's and sorted, the game would be superb.

the game size is only 5gb I would guess they have left out higher res textures in the alpha build
 
Half-priced pre-order with Alpha/Beta access. Kinda weird how they are doing the business model as you'd be crazy to buy it before it reaches beta.
 
Just been on the MGT server for a while, really enjoyed it. Visuals are far better than arma 2. Ended with a crash :(

You mean you would be crazy not to buy it before it reaches Beta. This will be a good contender for GOTY for a £20 price tag with early axxs.
