The mech in the pre order bonus can be acquired normally though gameplay. So you haven't missed out on anything.Grabbed the physical launch edition, should arrive on Monday, probably no preorder bonus for me but whatever.

Thankfully didn't take me that long, just too many attempts that finished at like 10%, I've found missions fast and enjoyable so far, I ended up going to bed last night after a good few attempts on the juggernaut boss thoI struggled with him too - it took me over an hour of attempts the first time I beat him.
So far I absolutely love the game but I am a total novice at it and I constantly feel on the verge of death. The missions are quick and to the point. It definitely has that one more go factor.
Really enjoying it myself, and thankfully no it's not a souls game skinned with mechasSo what is the thoughts on this, anyone had a decent session on it?
I gather its not like a souls-like type of game?
Not even remotely Souls-like. It's a mecha game through and through. The core gameplay is running repeated ( short ) missions, earning credits that you can spend on upgrades for your mechs. There is a ton of equipment, weapons etc allowing for a wide variety of customisation & playstyles. Haven't tried the competitive multiplayer mode yet but I can see this attracting a strong PvP scene. In the campaign difficulty is all over the place, so in that sense it's very much a From game !So what is the thoughts on this, anyone had a decent session on it?

I struggled on that boss too, first one that is the kinda "this is ********" bosses fromsoft sometimes has, on my try that killed him I missed my L3 + triangle attack so got mad and went really aggressive and that seemed to be the trickI hit a wall last night with the boss balteus. I spent 2 hours this morning until I managed to finally beat him with a simple tank build - 2 laser pistols and 2 laser canons (to obliterate his shield).
I beat him with literally a millimetre of health left but it felt oh so good.
I then beat all the rank e arena quests with the same build 1st time.
The next level seems huge a bit similar to the factory level in the first pre launch gameplay footage, I found a few hidden enemy ac characters in the level buy died to one.
This game is a must buy in my opinion.
I'm struggling myself, heard some say to use the buster cause it'll break it pretty easy, then others are using tank setup with Gatling guns and rocket launchersBoss at end of chapter 2..... £$£$
I've never been so close to throwing a controller, still can't beat it. Spent about 1.4mil on parts so far (just for this boss).
I was talking about sea spiderOh is it balt we are talking about? I thought it was the sea spider

I used reverse joint legs with with the thrusters that have low delay time between dodges. You may need to dodge twice and potentially backwards to avoid his slam attacks. You will want weapons that allow you to keep moving while shooting.I was talking about sea spider
I did the same, even with this build it still took me 2 hours last night and 4.5 hours today. It was another skin of my teeth victory but it felt great.
