Army of the Dead

Here is some interesting points about the film...

did you notice that some of the zombies gave off blue electrical sparks from their heads when shot? Synder has confirmed that some are robot zombies

did you see that the crates at the start of the film, carrying the alpha zombie, had an address in Iran on them? Using the alpha as a weapon?

remember the scene at the safe, where Van hypothesises that the bodies at the safe are them from another timeline, did you notice that they had not only the same clothing but that one body even had the exact same key on a chain necklace as Scotts "girlfriend" Maria was wearing? So perhaps there is something in the alternative timeline theory that Van mentions in passing

Why was there a refugee camp meters away from the zombie area? Surely there would have been an exclusion zone?

Why did no-one think to close the door to the hidden container entrance when they first entered? They just walked in and left it open.

They must have had the worlds most efficient generators. A couple of small fuel cans managed to power the whole building for hours. It was lucky that the helicopter seemed to take the same fuel as the generators.

Why didn't they have the combination to the safe?

Where did they suddenly get the bags to carry the money?

Why was no-one carrying any ammunition?

I noticed one at the end when shot in the face had like a terminator skull underneath.

At the very beginning when the convoy is leaving Area 51 two UFO's shoot off into the sky in the background

so we have aliens, robotic zombies and potentially a time travel/time loop situation. Seems like there is more than meets the eye to the film, interested to see where this goes in army of the dead 2

I suspect this is going to be a bit like the Cloverfield series of films; lots of different films all set in the same universe.

Another plot hole I just realised:

When the two soldiers were trying to escape at the very beginning why didn't they get back into their armoured vehicle and drive away, instead of leaving the safety of the vehicle and running away on foot?

But a nice touch that the four man convoy had the code name "four horseman" (of the apocalypse)

I'll rate it a meh/10

Such a mish mash of stolen imagery and themes from multiple films with at best distinctly average acting and a comfortably I don't gaf attitude towards the characters.

How many here could tell the pilot was added after the film finished production and she acted Infront of a green screen with no other actors. I couldn't tell.

I remember hearing about him being replaced by her but had no idea it was done that way and not traditional reshoots.

I certainly didnt notice, was done very well, I wonder if they will do that more often with other similar situations, like replacing Armie Hammer in Death on the Nile because of accusations made against him and so on

so many people died because of the idiotic daughter and her idiotic actions to save one person

My thoughts exactly, felt absolutely no sympathy for her and didn't care what happened to her. How selfish was her actions causing her Dad and basically everyone else to die. Geeta as well, I get she trying to provide for her family but remember she put herself in that position. What was Zeus waiting for when he turned everyone else he met pretty much on the spot but left Geeta? Also bit silly how the Coyote was a survivor of so many encounters and trips she suddenly changed and decided to sacrifice herself needlessly. There was so many deaths that was comical. Especially Chambers at the start she was fighting like a demon and took out so many in the horde herself and managed to fight her way through the window to reach her boyfriend who did nothing to help and just watched and only reacted to help just before she got overwhelmed.

One really silly point if Martin only objective was to get the head then why didn't he just pop back out as he was practically next to the container entrance they came from?

I think she hasn't even killed a zombie before either lol.
