Arsene Wenger: Arsenal boss to leave club at end of season

Wait...Arsenal are bigger then Athletico...not only that but its a massive project and would be appealing to a shed tonne of managers.

Gazidis can say what he likes, if Simeone says he'll take the job...he gets it.
Or maybe arsenal won’t hire him?? You do know Gazidis will probably have a big say on who is going to be the next manager.

For all we know we could have Pardew in charge next season *shudder* :p

Odds have swung around for different people daily, I wouldn't put much stock in them at this point.

Whoever they pick, they know it can't be someone who'll heavily divide fan opnion because that's been one of the obvious problems with the support base for a few years now - it has to be someone that's going to be a popular choice and people will generally get behind from the get-go. I don't think it'll be an ex-player though... there's a certain romanticism about it, but all of them are lacking experience either of managing a big team or even managing a team at all, and the landscape is such that I think they'll want someone that isn't going to be learning on the job.

I reckon some people will be making a killing on the exchanges, the market has been very volatile with multiple runners backed down to short odds at various times, giving plenty of opportunity for people to either lay off half a dozen managers, or do some sort of arbitrage.

Get simeone. Every fan and there dog will back him

Oh good. He seems like he would be a short term fix anyway. I want someone that would be more long term.
True but of short term gets us a title or 2 then I’d be happy with that.
But ultimately we need long term rather than short term.

Sky sports seems to think Arteta will be our next manager :/. I’d be asking why if that is true, where has he got pedigree to win titles?? Is it because he’s working with Pep?? Doesn’t mean **** if he is.

could open the door for conte to arsenal I think he'd be good for us
Not hearing anything about him coming to Arsenal yet.

So Gazidis has said that no managerial experience shouldn’t rule out Arteta. If that’s the case then I may as well apply for the job, I mean I don’t have any managerial experience either lol. Hell might as well appoint DM as well :p.

Btw I haven’t seen him post since Wenger made his announcement that he is leaving. Usually he’s the first to stick the boot in.

I don't think Simeone would fit the football profile of Arsenal.

I think Luis Enrique or Rafa Benitez would be good options.

I really hope that when they get around to erecting a statue to Arsene outside the Emirates, they use the iconic 'king of Old Trafford' pose
