Arsene Wenger: Arsenal boss to leave club at end of season

2 years.

year 2 i expect the manager to come close-ish to winning the title.

I dont expect arsenal to have a god given right to win it. Just to compete and show desire and passion when they play

2 years? Well, that's better than I thought you were going to say, it's still a short amount of time though, 2 transfer windows, unless you have the resources to buy a shed load of players every summer.

Sad to see us lose. Wanted to Wenger to go on a high. He deserved that much imo.

I cannot see any manager winning the league for us with this squad to be honest. With only 50m to spend this summer I would be surprised if we even get top four. Unless we manage to get a great manager, I do not see us winning any trophies for a long time.

Sad state of affairs and I fully expect it to go downhill from here. Hope I am wrong.

Thats thanks to wenger. He has tarnished the club by overstaying his welcome

That is your opinion, which I do not agree with. You must watch too much Arsenal TV Jonny my boy :)

We will see how good or bad wenger was in the next few of seasons. Let’s see if we win any trophies any time soon now.

Top four? That's not good enough. Premier League or bust and give another manager a go. That seems to be what the most vocal fans want.
League or bust? These fans must be living in cuckoo land.

I wasn't being serious. Sadly, too many Arsenal fans do live in cuckoo land
Indeed. And these vocal cuckoo land fans may end up pushing the next manager out in a season or two also.

I can just imagine a situation where we get someone like Klopp and he gets the sack after one or two seasons.

His been bad. You just have to look at the last 5+ years to see that really.

Its not about winning trophies for me, Its about performing week in week out showing desire and passion and structure in the team.

Dont give to ***** about winning the title, i want to be proud of the performance i see when we play.

Also the price of a ticket should reflect the level of football and success we play. Why are we paying more then city, chelsea etc to watch us play no better then Burnley?

Its a joke really

It's funny how it stopped being about winning trophies as soon as Arsenal won the FA Cup in 2013. People had made their minds up.
I guess the squad is just that good that they won the FA cup 3 times in 4 years (and couple of Community Shields) without desire and passion?

The issue is we aren't even anywhere near competitive in the league any more. Cups are nice and are worth something but these last 2 season in the league have been appalling, look at our away form this year for example. There's no denying that things aren't working out so can't see how this is the wrong decision. We're not even entertaining to watch any more, if we can get that back at minimum it will be an improvement.

League position doesn't lie, Arsenal hasn't been good enough this year. My criticism is of the fans who don't recognise and celebrate the (recent) successes. I just don't get it when people say winning the FA Cup has been part of the problem, it papers over the cracks.
Wenger is 68 years old, he was always going to leave soon, at least the club has re-structured their staff in readiness for this.

LOL 2 years

Also your squad and main team are not impressive in the slightest

I wouldn't take a single player from Arsenal for our first 11, id take a couple for the bench.

The rebuilding Arsenal will have to do is unbelievable and will cost an absolute tonne. Theres an argument that they need a new back 5, couple of mids and some width. Crazy numbers.

Who's the current front runner? Very surprised this hasn't been sorted tbh.

They just went out 2-1 on aggregate to Atletico, a club which has been in 2 Champions League finals in 4 years, had they had a bit of luck like Real had against Bayern, they could be in the final, only because of a few costly individual errors and lacking a bit of killer instinct (no Auba). The squad isn't bad at all, it's got some great players in it, they just need to flesh out a few areas. But I would agree the squad doesn't compare to City for example.. it's a long way off. Ox would have been playing instead of Wini wouldn't he?

It's harder to score against a side that packs the box than a side that tries to score themselves. Arsenal should have won the game obviously, they weren't clinical, but Atletico would have shut a lot of teams out with how they played.
