:eek: 2 x 8GB kits? @CL9 Wow, I think I might cancel the ones I got on order and grab some of those. How much did they set you back?
 
I paid £121 altogether including delivery. I ordered them a couple of days ago and they should be with me tomorrow.
 
That's a bargain for 16gigs at those speed ratings! I went for patriot xtreme division 2 1866 8Gb.

i read that a lot too but when you overclock you end up feeding the ram sticks more voltage anyway. most sticks are rated 1.5-1.65v

Sure thing and hope your build goes well too! I don't know about being quicker than you though. My sister's party on Saturday so I've got loads to do then I'll have a pretty sore head on Sunday!!

I'm wondering why you've bought this board as you already own the Extreme4. Is it for another build or is there something about this board that made you want to replace the Extreme4?

I feel your pain i also managed to miss out on the pre order price by a few hours as i hadnt got paid and unfortunately OCuk wouldnt offer the price the day they got stock.

Like Hamster says the board does look amazing. you might even have your setup working before mines and Hamsters
 
Hey, yeah it was a bummer they didn't keep the price down for a little longer but never mind, Can't wait to see what the board is like in person, don't think i will get time to setup until Sunday night.

What CPU and GPU are you going to use

I bought the extreme 7 and a i5 2600k from somewhere else worked out a lot cheaper. Wouldve liked to have got it from here.

GPU isn't anything fancy I got a MSI 460Ti 1GB OC Hawk twin Frozr from here when it was on special a few weeks back.

I second that, fantastic looking board. Couldn't believe the quality on the heatsinks, really really nice. Having one problem though, and that it that my Logitech G510 doesn't seem to want to work in the bios, should be fixed in a bios update though I guess.

Yeah I should have looked around for a better price really, but if I ask for Royal mail delivery I always get it with OcUK. Most other company’s just go for the cheapest delivery option and don’t give you a choice of service provider.

With your USB problem make sure it’s in a 2.0 port and check that (legacy USB support) is enabled in bios, I had problems with my Extreme4 board it would stop on bios screen with an error code every time I started the PC, but it was just the mouse been unsupported for some reason, The only thing I could do was disable legacy support and the computer would boot fine but then the keyboard wouldn’t work in bios then (Logitech G15) So I’m just thinking it could be the other way round for you..
 
hmm I have a logitech g15v2 keyboard(other kb is a g11 or old ps/2 logitech kb) and g9 mouse(or a razer copperhead or a logitech mx310) so hope I have no issues in the bios, don't want to have spend £210 to find I can't use it.

lol, kidding. 1 here for now, are you building a new rig or will you be just swapping motherboards? Your signature has inspired me to double my ram to 16GB :) hopefully it should arrive next week.
