looks good, one of the things that annoyed me about AC2 was the way the side missions are handled.

i ended up not doing any side missions, as it just didn't seem realistic that he would be bothered with them

There's much more motivation to do them, the goal of the game is to take control of Rome and you are encouraged to play the long game and act in a much more Machiavellian way. This means doing side missions to get the money and resources to wrest control of the city.

Ive read that there is no 'connect to the internet at load up' drm.

Just the usual connect to the internet when installing drm which is a bit of a relief.

To get the da Vinci dlc you have to redeem it via uplay for some reason.

I have read it is 48199 for the deluxe version, but i seem to be downloading 48190(which is the normal version). Is this the same for everyone else?

I got very bored with the first one. However the 2nd one i was glued to and so far the 3rd seems very similar.

Im really enjoying the game, so much so that i think im going to 100% the game which i haven't done in a while. Maybe its not getting much attention because of ubisofts OTT drm(which isn't present in this game) or because it got released on other platforms months ago.

I can't comment on multiplayer as I dont play it, mainly because i'm without an internet connection most of the time, so I don't bother getting into it.

I love the multiplayer. I've not played something as fun or unique in a long time.

One example
one team are the assassins the others are targets. The targets have to basically hide and act like NPCs and blend in with the crowd. The assassins to some extent do also so you can't tell who is an assassin and who is a NPC. The assassins get a radar which gives the rough direction/location of the target so you could be standing in a group of targets hiding and the assassin might kill the wrong target this disabled him from attacking for 10 seconds then you can knock them down and stun them give it toes and live.

You can get perks like disguise yourself as a different char, smoke bombs, run faster etc.

It's a lot of fun. Much better with a xbox controller imo.
