Origins was the only AC game that kept me playing through to completion, the changes in how the game plays made it by far and away my favourite AC game (ironically by making it not so much an AC game), as a result Odyssey is also a day one purchase for me, whereas had Origins been more similar to previous AC titles I wouldnt be spending a penny on Odyssey.

Good to hear they are taking another break. Hopefully to continue to push the series forward. Origins was very good, I hope this is as good, but also not just a copy of the game mechanics.
 
I played origins on xbox one x and it look looked stunning, but thinking of picking odyssey up on my pc which is newly built and my first gaming pc how will it perform ? i have r5 2600, gtx 1060 6gb and 16gb of ram running in ultrawide 2560x1080 i dont mind 30fps like xbox and obviously wont hit 4k lol but will i hit high/ultra at 30fps? just want a good game to get stuck into on pc! cheers
 
Yeah I'd agree with the above, well it imo is the best since AC:Brotherhood. After that the series went downhill from an Assassin perspective but that's all open to debate. Origins and it's ingame elements/features will set you up for Odydysysy as they'll be very familiar by the time it arrives.

I hated Origins at first, due to its mashy button combat, dodgy optimisation/glitches but once it opens up I ended up fully doing everything the game offered.

Sweet very tempted but also wondering if I should just play my backlog and wait until this is like £10. :confused::p
Got loads like Mass Effect 4, Witcher 3, MGS V that I've been meaning to play, but would be awesome to play this while it is still newish.

Just buy it ! I have all the ones you mentioned above, it stands head and shoulders above them all.

The setting, the story, the combat and the visuals are all top top notch. Not since Alien Isolation (best game for decades btw) has a single player game gripped me so much. 9.5/10
