Assassin’s Creed Origins

OK, bit of a loss here. Starting the game and setting it all up in Options working fine, can skip the intro with the space bar, BUT.. when coming to the first scene all that is shown is the Subtitles, no hints as I seen on some YouTube videos but the worst thing is, I can't move with WASD or the Mouse either, they just stand there (picture of it in spoiler).

At that screen I can use the buttons to get to inventory, F3 for screeny, ESC for menu and all that, but nothing else. I have verified the files, restarted the PC and only had the game running but nothing. Just stuck there. :( (And the only game I have in the uPlay loader is AC:O)

If anyone has any suggestion it would be greatly appreciated !

Have you go t any controllers plugged in, I had to unplug my pedals to get to show hints and dare I say it my Xbox game pad.
Thanks, have a old Thrustmaster keyboard plugged in so did remove it but alas, no luck. Still nothing happening at the fight. Just before on loading screen I can use the Q and E to switch through game tips (forgot to mention that above) so it seem conected but...

I do appreciate your quick response !

I've had experiences like this with games, I know it might seem extreme but remove (including software) all input devices here in device manager. Stuff like keyboard and mice might need to replugged in after you've done this. But might be some old drivers of an xinput device causing mayhem.

Have you tried plugging a game pad in to see if that works?
In all honesty, these games are designed for game pads and I feel a lot more relaxed using one.

Well, in worse case I try but I'm useless with gamepad, only game I used it for is Sonic and All Star Racing. All other games I played always been Keyboard and Mouse so if possible want to use that. Hopefully it can be sorted. :p

Correct, anything from Win 7 onwards should auto install the necessary drivers of devices plugged back in. Right click, uninstall device, you don't HAVE to select delete software (not all will have the option), but it might help, just be ready to unplug and plug your mouse/keyboard back in as you'll likely remove them from that list. No perm damage can be done doing this.

Thank you, I start doing this then. There is 30 lines under that category so might be the problem.

Just been looking at prices, cdkey's steam etc, then read about the drm,as much as i was looking to get this tonight,i'm afraid it's a no buy for me.

Yea crazy prices at the moment. But in general I don't buy any games on release. I might buy them when they get down to about £24 and under. I prefer to wait for them to get fixed first and for prices to settle.

Still no luck. Even went and downloaded the Logitech Software for Keyboard and Mouse and reinstalled them fresh but nope. Guess have to send in a support ticket and see what they say.

Thank you for the help though, much appreciated ! :)

Theres ya problem! Well, maybe, I've had similar issues previously. So hopefully this sorts it for you.

Bugger, nevermind then!

Thank you both for the help. Finally got it working after a brief browse of Ubi's forum in a thread about it crashing at start up. Since was the closest to my problem I started reading it and come to post 5 which suggested: Uplay is known to sometimes have issues with games installed on a different path then the default one. So I was like.. uhmm wait a min.. I had installed it on my gaming SSD, which is drive I .. So I uninstalled it all, reinstalled it on drive C and just went stright to play without touching anything and it worked. Now just got to get it running smoothly because after that first fight it was jerky and not pleasant. Plus my Fury X started to sound like a airblower trying to take of !

Once again, thank you for your suggestions, much appreciated !! :D
