Assassin's Creed Unity

Lots of US owners complaining about the game performance - specifically frame rate and pop in - so glad I avoided this - ubisoft gonna ubisoft

their is a 1gb day one patch, but not sure it fixes the problems. Seriously tempted to cancel my pre order, will wait for the embargo to lift at 5pm.

Has poorly coded written all over it tbh - considering what they were trying to do and them busting out a yearly AC (well this year 2 of them) and it being Ubisoft it was inevitable...

Over-promise and under-deliver. Hopefully it gets patched up

Thats a fair point, I dont know if that day one patch has been put live or not so it might be nothing. I swear though the PC version has had the patch go live though. Whoa the embargo is at the start of release day?!?

EDIT: Just seen a few neogaf posts that imply that the patch helps frame rate but in no way fixes it - the pop-in is kinda hilarious

Pre-ordered this last night from tesco along with GTAV got them both for £59 by using £15 off £75 spend and some vouchers, if its crap i guess i can sell it straight away and have not lost any money.

Not just teleporting and aggressive LOD'ing, at about 11 seconds in on the right you can see a women walk over that cart... xD

That running looks ridiculous as well. He's running like a madman yet moving at about a gentle jog.

Well this is bad news lol I wish more developers would take a leaf from Nintendo book, and not release a game until it actually works.

It's their fault for wanting so many useless NPC's, they could half or quarter the number and it would still be impressive and it wouldn't tank the framerate so much.

It does seem to be a worrying trend. The attitude now seems to be, "lets release it whatever the state and then we can patch it later". Either that or "lets release it with very little content then charge people for expansions".
