Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Thanks, I'll give those settings a try.

Interestingly, your summary there is literally the exact opposite of mine, you started out liking it but the more you played the less you liked it, whereas I am 100% the exact opposite, I started out liking it less than Origins and Odyssey but the more I played it the more I liked it and I now rank it above Origins in terms of gameplay (Origins looks better etc but I actually enjoy the gameplay in Valhalla more). I still rate it below Odyssey but thats mainly because I have a special affinity for the time period that Odyssey is set in. So my 3 go Odyssey > Valhalla > Origins.

Also one thing I forgot, turn HDR on and off. I find that when you open the game again the HDR is different. Well, you can actually see if maybe you prefer it that way. The HDR luminance also resets to 1000 when you switch HDR on/off so remember to put it back up.

I see a mass or difference in Environment textures mesium to high. It Hurts my fps quite a bit buts it's worth it.

I'm 50 hours in and tbh I could play for another 150!... It took me 6 months to finish Odyssey(180 hours) and by the end I was even just doing the daily quests each day. Not sure if this is beating Odyssey yet for me in terms of preference, but I think it's got a chance.

Really liking the direction they've taken with the arc region area's - East Anglia has been my favourite arc culmination, with Shropshire for the vista's. Mysteries are great individual side quests - the fly agaric one's are nuts. Getting some good gear from the wealth side quests, but still rocking axe and war hammer from Norway....just massively upgraded now (and have quite a lot of power now) - great fun rushing in as a berserker! Attempting to get as close to 100% per region before cracking onto the next arc

Hoping today's patch will finally display my legendary animal trophies in my longhouse...

The patch is very welcome, but I don't see any mention of the Berserker fella not staying in your crew. I can't get him to stay in mine. Anyone else have that problem?

There is so little effort put in to the Asgard part of the story. Same character models, same weapons and armour, same gameplay. There better be some kind of payoff cos atm it's just breaking off from the story to play Eivor having some kind of wierd dream!

I took it that somehow Eivor, Siguard and Dag are descendants of the Gods due to having the same voices, Even Odin is Eivor's voice with a slight twist on it. There's more after Asgard that I'm yet to start so not sure on the full pay off myself yet.

Anyone seen any improvement with the framerate since the patch?

I've actually gained about 5fps and the fps seems more stable and less fluctuaty, having said that I did just crash to desktop and thats the first crash I have had in Valhalla in 60 hours of playing

Got to say playing with headphones. The soundtrack is immense!

Really wish they wouldn't stop the songs in your boat when you even get close to a raid though. So annoying!

Played some more, really liking the soundtrack and the map got even better. It doesn't have that randomly generated feel Odyssey had a lot of the time. There are samey things but a lot less of them so far. The combat isn't that great unfortunately but I was expecting that.

The view from Bardon lookout was probably the most impressive thing in AC so far, at least on par with Orgins' deserts and pyramids but Egypt is hard to beat for me:p

Does anyone know, is the bonus active from the second wield active also?

I bought the armour from Reda's store for 120. Its awesome. Easily the best looking armour I've seen so far.

Dang need to get his shop, did not even know it was in the game, been wondering what those opals were for!
