BTW a reminder for everyone - there is a cool armour and weapon set for anyone with amazon prime you can download. I've been using the hood and greatsword half of the game. It's worth getting

He ain't turned up for me yet, imagine need to do a certain quest then, built settlement to level 5 but not started any story arcs so imagine tied to the later. Will google it.
 
I'm sure I know the answer to this, but is this another open world RPG thing with level gating and a million icons? The last two were okay but a bit boring and not really assassins creed games IMO.

Will be largely like other ones yes. There is icons, but don't need to do them of course. Not as many forts and all those places. This time side quests are replaced by mysteries which are actually quiet fun. There is level gating to an extent. You get effectively a power level, certain area's advise certain power levels. So if your power level 50, there are some areas with power level 300 odd so while you can go there, will get owned.

In a nutshell for me, its a refinement of the others gameplay wise and improvement in terms of side quests vs the recent two after about 60 hours. Not yet started main quest at all so can't really comment on those, but gather there are nice story arcs there.
 
If anyone's having an big increase in the number of crashes to desktop since the patch verify the files from the launcher. I went from crashing every few minutes to playing stably for nearly 2 hours. It was fine before this new patch but a lot of players are having issues and this seemed to fix it.

Agreed, its an excellent soundtrack and often seems to play at just the right moment.

Finished the fight with the builder last night. It was actually pretty challenging considering I'm nowhere near the required power level. Hoping I'm nearly done with Asgard, I just want to get back to England now.

I had another crash yesterday after the patch was installed.

thanks for this i didn't even think to check twitch for loot. i got a spear not the greatsword.
 
just had my first crash too. just verifying the files now.

edit:

well that didn't work just has a massive sound corruption. safe to say everyone is awake now. what the hell have they done!

game is unplayable now, well done ubi you knocked it out the park with that patch. is there any way we can rollback to the previous update?
 
Haven't had any crashes so far at all hope it stays that way. With the exception of some parts of Norway, it also runs smoother than Origins/Odyssey for me.

i believe he turns up when you have done your first alliance story arc because once i was done in Ledecestrescire he just turned up at the settlement

might be worth doing upto that part of the story so you can start grabbing the daily/weekly contracts

Thank you! :) did check and saw a quest name that needed to be done, but was not sure how it fit into the overall scheme of things without searching to try and spoil things for myself.
