Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Wow thanks guys. I then seen the price of the game:

Story hasn't missed a beat so far. Enjoyed every part. Except maybe the Asgard bit.

And although wasn't particularly in to the Norway bit at the start I kind of wish I spent a bit more time there. I know I can go back so will later.

Hmmmm. As usual I am 5 raw materials short of a settlement upgrade. Interesting how they mostly cost 45 or 65 for example never rounded up to 10. On an unrlated note, I see they are selling raw material bundles in their store....

Dont know why anyone would buy them, there are more than enough in the game and its not like its multiplayer so theres no rush to get enough materials before anyone else does or anything. The ADHD must-have-what-I-want-right-now generation I guess :)

I am very much looking forward to this. :)

Yes it might be a good game but the map is small

The problem is the raw materials might be display on the map but when you're only a level 60/90 and others areas are 160/250/360 you have no chance and get the raw materials in a raid so buying them in a bundle at the store make life easier or Ubisoft should have made it like Odyssey after you clear out a fort it resets so when you raid it for the second time there will be more enemies to kill and if you raid it again after that then cap it, not cap it after just one raid how boring.

Cant say that I've had a problem, I did the 60 areas, upgraded the village a bit, then as I went around the map I levelled up, once I was level 90 I raided those ones and upgraded the village a bit more, then I continued around the map, once I was level 130 I did those raids and upgraded the village a bit more, then I continued around the map and levelled up and did the 160 ones and upgraded a bit more and so on. I'm fine with upgrading the village in stages like that, I have not had one single need to upgrade any faster or any more than what the game has delivered to me within the normal levelling process, I cant see any reason why anyone would have the need to upgrade any faster than that, just go along with the zones and levelling and upgrade at the pace that the game sets, no rush required, nothing gained by doing it any faster than that. Not unless the aim is to simply complete the game as quickly as possible anyway. I would certainly never pay for materials, just dont see the need to, if it was multiplayer then I could possibly understand because then you're trying to do stuff before other people do but in a single player game, dont see the point.

I did some of the essential upgrades, stables and whatnot, then added the Roman Statues chap. Asgard and Jotunheim were kind of interesting, Asgard is a pain to navigate, Jotunheim was a bit of a climbing festival for me.

I went around Jotunheim trying to get as much wealth as possible and ignore the missions. Turns out that a lot of them seem to unlock only by doing the missions! After finding 33 of them I can live the rest of my life without ever seeing an Ymir's Blood Stone again and be very happy.

Won't be going back to Asgard for a while. Might clear some areas, raid a bit more. It's not a bad game. Bit buggy - Rada still won't talk to me, but no deal-breakers. Nice to drop into for a while.

so you when you was only level 90 you raid a level 160/250? because when I was only lvl90 and started a raid in level 160/250 area I killed out right

No, like I literally said in my post, I levelled up and then raided them at their level, I built up the village in stages, a couple of buildings at a time, as I levelled up.

So I did the first two raids, built a couple of buildings, levelled up playing the game, did a raid at 55, built a building, levelled up playing the game, did 2 raids at 90, built a couple of buildings, levelled up, did 2 raids at 130, built a couple of buildings, levelled up, did 3 raids at 160, built 3 buildings, levelled up, did a raid at 190, built a building. I was perfectly fine with that, building the village in stages, had no need to build it any faster than that.

well game seems to work now i was browsing the ubi forum and it was mentioned to resync the pc clock (apparently denuvo throws a wobbler if its even slightly out) and also to try disabling afterburner so i done both and it let me play and didn't crash within 10 minutes or so like it was yesterday.

Getting a few bugs with objects on the map now I'm towards the end of the game, looking on Ubisoft forums I'm not the only one who can't for example move the object in the church in Guildford to get the gear piece.

Since the patch I am having something odd happen, I occassionally swap weapon hands without pressing the shortcut key for it...its Shift+T so I can definitely say that I'm not accidently pressing that !

yep this is how its intended to work, you build up your settlement gradually as you level up and explore

This is of course true, but Ubisoft have clearly manipulated it so that you will be just a bit short quite often to push their store on people...You only ever pick up Raw materials in multiples of 10(I think it's always 20?), but the structures costs either 45, 65, 85. I had no raw materials left earlier, raided a monastery and got 3 lots of 20. What can I build? Either a building for 65 or 45. Sneaky!

Bumped into some higher level bosses, heh, run :p

On another note, still no physical disk and no response from Ubisoft to my PayPal complaint. They have until Friday, no response and it automatically resolves in my favour. Ridiculous that they now don’t even respond and refused to refund when they did respond weeks ago. I’ll never use their store again, thank goodness for PayPal is all I can say.

i still wouldnt buy any but if people are willing to spend more then why not

Yeah but you have enough on the map in total to build every single building in the village by the time you complete the game, the only people who would end up actually buying the materials off the store are the impatient and the I Want Now crowd, everyone else will simply play the game and build the buildings as they go....and to be entirely truthful, that says far more about those people buying the materials than it does about Ubisoft having them on the store.
