Assetto Corsa Competizione

you mean 1:56 ? also anyone having a issue with getting settings to save ? changing something and they not sticking.

Is this regarding your wheel? if so I had it with stock AC. especially if I loaded the game without part of my wheel plugged in(normally forget to plug the pedals in which would reset my settings). I got round it by backing up my config. If I loaded the game and it had reset my settings I copy my backup into the games directory.

It was a known issue with AC that effected some but not others. Sometimes I load the game 20 times it would be fine the next 3 the settings would always reset and especially after a patch.
Try backing up your config/settings files. I dont have this new version yet as I no longer have a GPU so cant test if it works. Should do...

got into 1.58s with stock set up, will try the aggressive set up tomorrow.
Enjoying it so far but it is really early on in development.
When dirt rally hit early access it was at a completely different stage and had a 6 month plan too, can see this not making its deadline.

wheels set up okay noticed some others are having same issue. may try this out see if it works.cheers.till its patched.

Running all my driving games on my Samsung smart 50" TV even though its only 1080p its far better. ACC runs just fine, graphics are good but no doubt will improve with update's and better drivers this being ER1.
Using a TR500RS wheel still needs tweaking a bit more but getting there.
The UI is a pig, you have to use the mouse to do most setting changes, trying to load and save settings is diabolical.
Come on Devs get it right.

I think the UI is fine until you try and load/save.

I had an issue setting up my wheel but it's been fine since, I think it was because I also had a 360 pad connected at the same time.

Decided to get this as well. Always had zero interest in GT3, but Codemasters like approach (doing a full game based on one racing series) + evolution of AC physics of course have swayed me in the end.

The physics - even in this early build - are already showing some progress compared to AC1. E.g. rear axle suspension squatting under acceleration, in AC the same Lambo Huracan GT3 was flat there. Generally, behaviour under braking is improved - as far as suspension movement/animation goes anyway. AC2 @0:27, 0:30; AC1 @0:43 onwards

I've got to admit I'm really disappointed with the handling.

In AC I can get on the brakes hard then trail brake in feeling everything and keeping it on the limit. Mid corner I get a good feeling for speed and if I'm too fast and start to scrub etc.

In ACC I don't get any of this. It could be setup but in the slow stuff it feels like I've got tea trays under the front wheels. In the high speed stuff I can't really tell when the car is going to kick out on me. It just feels loose as hell on the rear in the mid / high speed and an understeer fest in the slow stuff.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. With my driving style I don't really get on well with understeer, I like a pointy car that I can rotate on the brakes then get on the power and control oversteer out. Tried tweaking the TC and ABS and a few other bits but I need to learn more about car setup.

Might just be that this car has more push to it. I seem to remember the lambo's having more understeer in AC than some others in class.

Can't see the steam leader board as I don't have the game.
I assume there is one though?

I want to see if the oldphart is within my reach.

Burned out on first person shooters over the last weeks, need a nice relaxing drive.
Never played the original AC, I'm thinking, I'm better off going straight for ACC now?

its early days 1 car one track. the good thing with assetto makers is they make a great game. not many you can say that now days and will do exactly what they say. assetto corsa is the best physics wise car game on pc.period.

so you buy in now cause its cheap and wait for it to be finished play the builds along the way or you wait till its finished then decide. which it will be £40

i like it at moment just frustrating i cant save set ups.

Well in other games, I have tended to stick to one car and one track to master it.
ACC seems ideal in that sense.

I also like time attack more than actual races.

Then I guess it's gonna be right up your street.

Can I see all your times on a leader board within the game?
Don't think so yet, but I expect it will have that feature at some point.
