Assetto Corsa EVO jan 2025

I mean it's ac so of course I'm kind of pumped, but I'm not sure if I should be?

If they knock it out of the park, what will it be - AC without all the content lol? Know what I mean? As a VR user, the look is determined more by my hardware than the game. AC 1 is known for having great physics already and endless content. I'm just not sure why I should be pumped for this tbh lol. If they have great online ranking and racing and constant races available like iracing, but without the fee, that would obviously be exciting - but I doubt it will.

If they improve on the driving and tire model, that would be absolutely fantastic. But I have doubts about that, too. ACC didn't quite sit exactly right with me. And it's unplayable ugly in VR. Seriously if cars get more than 15 feet away, they look like SNES sprites on the quest3, even with the graphics set so high I can't get a playable framerate on my 4080. DLSS looks like crap when you're a couple millimeters from the assets. Don't even get me started on FSR. I do like the sound and FFB though.
 
yeah I am excited for this! Totally expect it to be a bit of a mess like every other AC game at the start of its life and I fully expect it to be a DLCfest like the first one but they do eventually create a great racing game.
 
I seem to have abandoned simracing as a whole the last year or more.
I cant put my finger on why exactly but i had my fun for sure.
My steam library has literally every sim released in the last 20 years , i still have old discs and manual of Grand Prix Legends.
All of this and i dont even have a wheel anymore, i sold my DD wheel when i quit.

This looks interesting though :)
