Assetto Corsa EVO jan 2025

I had 3 streams going : Jardier, Jimmy Broadbent and James Baldwin and they all said it's a bit disappointing right now, even for early access.

LMU was the same though, and that's very good now.

In what sense ? what are they disappointed with ? if its the content then I'm fine with that as it was always going to be bare bones on release. Anyone who played AC or ACC when it came out in early access should know what to expect. Usually, you get 1 car and 1 track !

If it's physics/ffb then that's disappointing

Graphics and sound very buggy - track barriers flickering/flashing all way around the Brands track, sound dropping out, texture quality low, spray poor, wet dynamics poor and the game not having some things which they advertised for the Early Access.

Obviously all of this will be fixed in the coming months/year, but right now it's a single player buggy mess, for £27!

Yes - it's okay because it's early access - just expect a poor experience :)
As per LMU at March 2024 - Evo likely needs 12 more months to improve to a standard where it's actually better than what we currently already have.

VR's absolutely ****ed for me, but I'm having openXR issues anyway. Guys with 9800x3d/4090 setups are saying they're getting ~50fps if they're lucky on low settings anyway.
Other than that, steam page lists a whole bunch of cars and features available on day one that aren't there.

I'm not expecting day one glory and I'm sure they'll sort it out in time, however, it's a disappointing start,

Saying that:

With a 4080 I have to run it at barebones low to do practice laps in some hatchback I have no interest in driving because that's all the content there is.

They spent years doing what here? I know it's early access, but I was not prepared for how... ugh this is

There is a bug where the game doesn't connect to online servers and thus half the cars are missing.

I've got a 4080 and am getting 90fps with everything maxed out in a solo session at Bathurst.

The game is kinda ugly at daytime though, the native AA is trash, DLSS smoothens things out a bit but increases the blurry look.

For all the grief iRacing and LMU's dated engines get they both provide much cleaner image quality than all the sims with modern engines (ACC, AC Evo, Automoblista, pcars etc)

Can't understand why people are refunding already when the game is early access and will have it's issues at launch, we are just early testers so what do they expect, once they fix the server issue are they going to buy it again

Give it a few months not a few hours god.

Ok, I sorted out my openXR issue and managed to get few laps in.
I have no idea what satanic ritual I have to perform to get this to not look and run terribly in VR.

Only really tried one of the S2000's and it was a surprisingly fun drive tbh. Still, FFb tweaking needs a lot of work though, as it wasn't particularly involving or informative.

Yeah, I just went for a spin and did a lot of the same stuff. Definitely too numb and overdampened by default.
Still not amazing, but definitely far better now.

Nils has been testing it for a month or so I think and is one of quickest sim racers about and the fastest from ACC from what I remember.

Good breakdown on some of the changes. Detail in the car modelling is pretty crazy.
