Assetto Corsa

7:15 after 2 laps in the Ferrari 599exo Using a 360 pad and no aids. Turned it off after 2 laps game really needs to hurry and improve I-racing I can stick on at 5pm before I know it its 2am.
AC after 2 laps I feel  I don't know why but for me the game was brilliant when it first came out, each build the feel as got less fun and feel un-involving(is that even a word?) to drive.

Not sure if this is because I've been using a pad. Ill get the wheel out the weekend see how I feel about it after a few laps on the G25 should be able to blitz my time using that also. I expect at least a 6:45.

Maybe I'm just getting old :D Being a Motorsport nut I should Love AC. 36 hours out the game since release day 30 of those are fiddling with bloody settings and waiting for load screens. They really need to add in a way to tweak controls from the car. Pain in the backside keeping having to exit reload.

O well MX5 at Oulten Park this week now that is a combo I can drive for every and a day and never get bored. Back to I-racing I go.

some nice settings there neo :D do I read tri SLI in your sig? pretty much no blur there... shall try and mimic your settings but reduce some things to try and get closer to 120fps :)

another thought.... does this game support SLI and the such? :p

No SLI for me, I only have the one 780Ti the x3 is just part of the card's name from Gigabyte. :)

Once I got rid of the blur it became nicer on the eye, kept HDR on so I could reduce the colour saturation.

Let us know how you go and any tweaks to settings, always looking for improvements.

ahhh fair enough :D ay I followed your settings but was getting around 60-70 fps I think so just fiddled about with the faces and cubemap size and now get 120 locked pretty much constant and when streaming it hovers around 100-120 so all good :D

still some tweaking to do as I'm sure I can raise some things with minimal impact :D

more importantly....... got myself a 7.24 on the green hell with the ferrari 559xxevo :D (so nuts has a new time to beat ;) ). still much room for improvement as that included 2/3 penalties due to throttle happy corner exits :p doh! also still braking for some corners that I really should have the throttle down for :p

learning the track a bit more so I am anticipating corners a bit more than trying to just wing it xD

one thing I think that did help was going around in the formula abert car. open wheeled and limited to 146mph. not the fastest but it has so much down force it just sticks to the road :D was about to put in a few, pretty clean last... although didn't get the best time (think being limited to 146 hurts quite a lot on the straights)

think nuts was looking into hosting too (i've been too lazy to look server hosting up :p ) so hopefully we can start some fun sessions soon :D

did try doing a race for the giggles on the green hell... but guessing the AI lines haven't been set-up or something as you all start in a grid.... lights out.... no one else moves and then they vanish xD haha

How are you guys running this in crossfire, I get terrible flickering on the cars and also as the camera pans round the car in the pits it all looks very blurry, any ideas guys.

Sorted my problem with the game crashing after clicking the start button to load the track and cars.

GeForce Experience. Or possible Xfire version 1.

After removing GE and installing Xfire 2 the game works perfectly.

bit of an odd one last night.....

found a nice instructional on how to get the assetto corsa server up and running (I'll hopefully get it properly working tonight nuts ;) and anyone else maybe interested).

seemed to set it up correctly but the ports I had issues with... default ports are UDP 9600 and HTTP 8087 (I think) so followed the instructions about port forwarding, added the two rules to my asus router forwarding 9600 as UDP to my pc's local IP and 8087 as TCP also to my pc's IP.

then things went ***s up :p hit apply.... router went through processing (essentially a reboot) but then wouldn't connect to the internet. I was getting an IP coming up on my router settings but under the license It said "renewing" and expiration date was "expired". now usually just a flick off of the modem and router and then putting them back on gets it to connect... but nope.

off and on over about 2.5 hours I was leaving them off for x amount of time and then turning back on. some times it wouldn't detect the connection type and others it would get a different IP but still have no internet access with the expired lease description.

While this was going on i flicked through the tv and ended up watching cricket for about 2 hours!!! haha xD forgot I actually quite like it :) :p HOWWWZZZ ZZZAATTT!!!!!

but then I decided to delete the rules I had created. took a few more reboots but i think it connected on the 3rd try after.

anyone else run into this problem when trying to set up the ports?? during my browsing I read, about a week ago so can;t remember where, that some people had to up the port numbers as their ISP didn't allow the rage they were trying to use. anyone heard of that as an issue? anyone had to change the default ports? are we limited to which range of ports we can use by our ISP? (I'm with plusnet btw) could using an invalid port screwed up the modem/router connecting to the isp?

going to try again tonight but obviously I'd rather not bork my net for a few hours again.... or was it all just a crazy coincidence and happened that at that time when it refreshed my IP (usually only after modem reboot not just router) that I was given an expired one a good few times?

oh well... if it does bork again I can just watch some more cricket :)

Anyone else tried the Seat Ibiza car that someone did?
Its a blast to drive lol. It has a v6 version and a very slow and crap normal version thats actually really fun for me as it reminds me of my first car.

nice :D

yeah I set up the port forwarding again and it worked no problem, put a server up and seemed to be A-OK! :D now to wonder if I can host on my laptop xD wonder how much processing power the server actually needs ;) (laptop i3 might be a bit low.... haha...my phone probably has a better chance :p )
