Assetto Corsa

What now?

^^ Last 2 posts. Pretty much what I'm thinking.

Sounds fun! Will aim to grab DP2/3 this month some time :)

The Gallardo Superleggera has the option to upgrade it to stage 3. Don't think I've ever seen the option before for any of the other cars.

EDIT: Just noticed that you can upgrade the Ferrari F40, Lotus Exige 240R, BMW 1M and quite a few others.

The F40 S3 is awesome. :D

I'm guessing the Gallardo is like those modded ones you see on Underground racing, with a huge set of turbos on it? :D

You've been missing out man.

The S3 Ferrari 458 is one of my favorite cars in the game. Basically turns it into a road-biased race car.

Since you guys know a lot about you're wheels Are the Logitech's new series good for a beginner with no prior experience of using a PC racing wheel?

Thinking about picking one up for a Christmas present to myself, Shall I go for the G29 or G920, Would I also be better sticking with the paddles on the wheel or also getting the shifter?

Just get the G27. Its the same wheel as the G29, but you get a very decent shifter in the package... and shifter is like half the fun of a good wheel in AC, heel and toe downshifts ftw :)

THe new shaders of the 1.4 version are just gorgeous... Just remember to reset all the ppfilters and weathers to default. Also the new FXAA shader is also great, finally everything is looking smooth and solid without smudging the fine details. Top work Kunos!

Even my high/medium settings look great now, no need for SGSAA at last it seems :)

Try briefly "deleting" your AC folder in MyDocuments by putting 2 dashes in front

and then load up the game and set all the settings to max, including the FXAA. try it ingame and if it works then you could copy your steering wheel settings etc from the dashed out AC folder later. Thats how I did it anyway :)
Although, I'm also on 5 days old windows 10 with fresh driver install, but hopefully this is not necessary.

The modded shaders from people definitely look a lot better. Been so long since I played I need to compare the old and new.. I can't really tell a difference and that DOF is horrible sorry.

Think it worked, had the option of English or Italian. Everything max/on with photorealistic shaders, possibly from a mod I had..

RIP Frame rate!

You need to try with a vanilla car, not some forza rip mod, also ditch this "photorealistic shaders from a mod" thing, and simply stick the default ppfilter on :D Frame rates should stay the same too.

Sorry I meant the vanilla game before and after the update, it looks no different on my machine.
No way :) Unless you are using some pre 1.4 release modded weathers and ppfilters which do not work with the new shaders... Make sure post processing effects are ON too.
