Assetto Corsa

Does anybody have any setup tips for the Maserati 250f 6c and 12c. I was 10 seconds off the pace at Brands Hatch last night, and not sure what to change on the car to try and help improve things.

I've not got round to drive it properly yet, the arrival of modern F1s made me interested in learning the opnewheeler craft, so I've been busy with these junior formula/F3:

I'm beating 100% difficulty AI now that I've started to understand how to set them up - great great fun:) I've left the 250f for later.

If you're 10 seconds off the pace, setup has nothing to do with anything.

You're simply not driving the car well.

Which is understandable since the car has the worst handling of anything ever. Really though, you need to know how to push into oversteer while carrying a corner. Drifting basically, but with 'tighter' lines and more emphasis on carrying pace. Meaning keeping your foot in it and knowing how to modulate the oversteer and come out of it cleanly and right where you want it.

Takes a whole lot of car control skills that you dont really exercise when driving modern cars with balanced chassis' and good tires.

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm enjoying the challenge so I know there's work to do.

I was lapping in 1:59 at Brands Hatch, with the guys at the front in 1:49. What's everybody else lapping around there in?

RoosterC, I couldn't do any better in the 250F (6cyl default setup) around Brands.

Time 2:00:0xx
Track - Green
Weather - Light cloud, 21C ambient
ToD - 10:30

Time 1:58:0xx
Track - fast
Weather - mid clear, 21C ambient
ToD - 13:00

Difficult to get the power down everywhere and I think I'm loosing quite a bit of time under braking, using manual gearbox with heel and toe downshifts. I noticed at Monza the AI were much better than me into the parabolica.

Okay, great. I'm sure the track was under similar conditions last night.

Thanks for doing that, and at least we could have a nice close race. :)

small patch just now

1.7.4
- Fixed GRAPHICS_PITCH_ROTATION
- Fixed AI sometimes pitting at the last lap
- Heave springs are now using rod length from suspension if not in monoshock mode
- Improved AI at race starts
- Levante rim size fixed
- Huracan GT3 and ST pit light fixed
- now acServerManager manages drs_zones.ini files
- Removed dedicated VR driver eyes positions
- Fixed F138 and SF15-T wrong range of damper values in setup screen
- Fixed F138 and SF15-T main body angle of attack viualizzation in WINGS app (no differences in aero performance)
- Improved ERS for McLaren P1, now with 2 profiles, race and charging.
- Nissan GT-R Nismo now uses automatic clutch
- Fixed tyre smoke remaining visible after remote car disconnected
- DRS now automatically closes when outside of DRS zone

I'd imagine G27/29/920's are the most common.

T300/TX/T500 are a step up, but have poor pedals that ideally need upgrading.
Fanatec CSW is the next step.
After that, you're looking at Accuforce.
And after that, OSW or even Bodnar if you're feeling flush and ambitious.

Close if I can keep it on the track consistently :p This car is hard work. Just ran a few more laps under the fast track conditions and managed to go a little faster, down to 1:57:277, with some gearing and tyre pressure adjustments. If only I could spend more time going in a straight line...

everything is preference isnt it.for eg most like the v3 fanatec pedals i didn't. so there is no one set up for all only what you prefer.
