Version 10 tires are the most recent physical model of tires that Kunos has made. Due to time constraints, not all cars have been converted to them as of yet.

Love the events that they throw every so often, like the AC Consoles launch event couple days ago. Neat idea - let people drive real cars and then try the same cars on the same laserscanned track in AC. Would be cool to watch some youtuber's impressions of the whole thing

I had a bit of fun last night. The Praga is quite hard to unsettle, whereas the FXX K and 488 aren't.. but that FXX K is just :eek: fast.

Some of the cars, GT3 ones especially, I'm struggling to keep any heat in the tyres. I set up a 3 lap race for GT3 cars on the Nurburgring Endurance circuit. 16c, light fog, and by the time I made the first corner all four medium compound tyres were cold on my GT-R. Even when I throw it about like a yob, understeer, oversteer and generally destroy the tyres, they only warm up a little before going back to cold. I also just reinstalled AC - had a sound issue and just wanted it all to be fresh - and checked integrity. I'm at a loss? :(

Haven't checked any mod cars for the issue. The FXX K after a blast around Imola had slightly cool fronts, but that was the way I was driving. They warmed once I started pushing harder, so some cars have it working properly.

Thegame feels very slow/laggy for some reason, hard to explain because fps counter is sitting at 60+ lowered the settings and it's at 120-130fps but I can still feel this crazy delay in everything i do??

Could it be the FOV? maybe just lower it a touch and see if that helps.

COuld be a bug, but also FXX K has the most recent tire model (v10) where as GT3s are still on the older tire model.

Vsync off? Also try setting "pre-rendered frames = 1" in Nvidia control panel/nspector.

The GT3s have a much harder compound than most of the race classes, usually they race endurance so need tires to last. Don't be put off by the tire temps showing blue on the widget. That widget/app is dishonest because it uses the same scale for all tire types - E.g. F1 tires look like they are on fire according to the app when they are just getting warm.

Tried it again before. I think the cooler weather settings (~15c, heavy clouds, fog) make the tyre temperatures drop too quickly. Setting it around 20c with light clouds immediately removed the problem. No more fog at the ring for a while. :p

Try turning on vysnc, as counter intuitive as that sounds. Variable framerate can look very choppy and while actual response times are good, it could feel laggy due to poor consistency in visual feedback.

bought this - and enjoying it - even though I'd call myself a "casual" racer

what I enjoy is I can just go in - and have a race - nothing locked etc

I haven't the time these days to spend hours unlocking upgraded cars etc aka Forza etc

simple menus, select your cars, track and who you are racing against and go - great

btw one negative - as good as the replays look

they seemed really spoiled for me as:

(1) cars seem to be very slightly disconnected from track, almost like they are floating by a mm <fixed - seems was a replay setting>

(2) no skid marks ? <fixed - seems was a replay setting>

(3) clipping with grass etc - car seems to just clip through it ? <possibly fixed - seems was a replay setting>

other than that visuals and audio superb - just the above seems to wreck it for me

That sounds odd as my replays don't have any of those problems. I can't remember what is available for replay settings, but check them incase there's something going on there. I know I have those effects, but I have mine limited to 100MB max file size.

Yep, check that your replays recording fidelity is set to max. Skidmarks are certainly there and cars should look planted eg
