Assetto Corsa

I've seen a few YT vids about the gear noise on the dfgt, g25 and g27.

I only use my PC at night when kids are asleep, and the whole house is quiet.
Is the DFGT really that noisy when the wheel turns.

There's a slight whine when you turn the wheel but not excessive, I can't hear it over the sound of the game with headphones. Does depend on the FFB strength though, if I turn it up on my DFGT the vibrations on my (slightly flimsy) desk can be pretty loud but on lower settings its ok.

thanks, I've just seen a g27 for £130, so chances are ill just get the g27......but it's nice to know about the dfgt noise.

Was having a go with the Ferrarri 599 yesterday.... was all over the bloody place!

Don't seem to be able to max my card on this though. Went into control panel, and upped everything I could find, and still getting 59fps (locked with vsync).

Guess that will change when we get other cards on tracks.

Cars do look very good in this though.

I was very naughty and ordered a Fanatec CSW with both rims yesterday. My fantastic wife was happy to approve the purchase. I'm a lucky man on both counts.

What?

No pedals?

I really want to know how good a wheel it is. It's next on my big purchase list, along with the CSP V2 and maybe the shifter.

What wheel do you have at the moment?

The directory to get to the dx11.ini is /steamapps/common/assettocorsa/system/cfg/dx11.ini

Change MAXIMUM_FRAME_LATENCY=1. In game, attempt to play with VSync off. If you play on your TV, check the manual and see if you can enable a "game mode" that reduces post processing and reduces visual delay.

The game feels so much more responsive and better because of this. You can see straight away as the ingame steering wheel reacts with perceptibly less delay to your physical wheel.

I'll give that a go, but honestly haven't noticed anything that I would put down to input lag...
