Assetto Corsa

Put in a load of laps around Mugello followed by Imola and Monza. The 312T is awesome, great noise, love the downshifts on the brakes and just a nice amount of downforce but still a huge amount of mechanical grip.
Fast as hell, hugely forgiving when sliding (compared to modern downforcy race cars) and great noise. Love it! :D

Anyone using sli for this game? I have two GTX 780's and monitored their usage over an half hour period on this game, I noticed both cards was only averaging around 60% usage while they peaked at 70%, was wondering if other sli users where getting low gpu usage?

I am not bottlenecked as when I run the unigine valley I get both cards at a constant 98% usage. I'm running a 4770K @4.5Ghz. Cards are overclocked 1150Mhz and gpu temps are in 50's 60's. I know there was an sli profile for this game a few drivers back but with constant game updates I fear sli isn't working to its full potential.

- Install Rivali Tempo (Follow installation instructions)
http://rivalitempo-softgrip.rhcloud.com/apps
- Load Game and Race
- Bring up Rivali Tempo by moving mouse to far right of screen in game and scroll down to select the app. Move the widget to anywhere on screen.
- Click on Widget to scroll through your subscribed Steam Groups until you see "Overclockers UK".
- Get racing and set an official lap time. :p

The app itself will monitor what assists you have used (setups not included at this stage unfortunately); Best Time, Car,Track,Tyre Compounds and Control Method. See my Driver Profile for example:

I have, will check later. I have just noticed though that since the last update my FPS have dropped massively. I used to get around 88-90FPS cockpit view and now I'm barely getting 60FPS. I will need to investigate that too and see whether anyone else is experiencing the same and monitor my GPU and CPU usage.

I prefer the old one

I'm now in the low 1:30's on Monza 1966, so that's 1 second of my previous best record. I have no idea how others are carrying so much speed into corners as when I attempt it I just oversteer and lose the car.

I guess now I need to learn how to setup a car properly including tyre pressures etc so I can better my lap time.

However, I am improving and am consistent.

I managed a 1:29.533 this morning, the only thing I changed was the final gear ratio to give me some more top end speed.

Most of the corners are flat out, if you lift off the throttle you get lift off oversteer and that'll put you into the wall. If you're not already try to keep at least some throttle on through the fast corners to keep the car balanced.

I don't feel there's a great need to worry about setups until you've got as much out of the standard setup as you can.

Sorry, not sure how to embed youtube vids

Set up Rivali tempo. Seems no matter what community I have it set to it shows the same players :/

edit - nm it started working! :)

Done a few quick comparisons around Mugello in the F40 S3 and 312T and I seem to be fairly close to the other OCUKers that have put in laps. Just need to do some setup work I think :)

Nice tip and a great video thanks. I just did a 1:29.8(x). I've not fiddled with the setup yet. But I've finally broken the 1:30 barrier :D

Now I've got to see why I've lost half my frame rates since the update.

Not sure what it could be. If a member has not set a time in the specific car/track combination it won't register their record. Does it show me on Monza 1966 in the MP4 GT3?

I'll get Rivali set up soon, so thanks for links majnu! Congrats on times too guys. Nursing a mild hangover at the mo, so wrapped up in a Civ V campaign. Sure I'll be back in the cockpit soon though. ;)

Fps have tanked a lot for me too. Used to have 16 Ai and it was so smooth. Now I have to reduce the amount as it's quite a bit slower. This is on a 290 crossfire as well.

I've posted on the AC forums about Rivali reducing frame rates. It wasn't the case before this latest update from Kunos. I've noticed that Rivali zaps away 7-8FPS but since 0.81 my GPU usage is at 60%.

I've no idea if it's because I have SLI or if it's an NVIDIA only bug. The game is still playable but overall my framerates have halved so I need to get to the bottom of it. I'll set more times in the evening. ;)

Yup, my FPS has taken a hit since the update.

Cannot say all the new fancy sky and light models have made any massive difference to my enjoyment, but the Rivali leader boards have definitely improved my fun playing the game.

0.8.2
- Default launcher theme: results screen will not automatically display if no laps were outputed by the sim
- Default launcher theme: starting position display for special event quickraces updated in summary
- Controls configuration: allow sharing of buttons between sequential gears and h-shifter in manual assignment
- Clouds culling improved

0.8.1
- Minor launcher X360 controller options fixed
- Oculus rift Skybox fixed

Edit - Just tried with a Pad for now and my frame rates have gone back to normal. Whatever that cloud culling is must have had an impact or KS have omitted what was causing the problem.

Just attempted this in the MP4 GT3 with a standard car setup and 15L Fuel. 3rd Lap round and 1:31.5 using the G27 which I only got yesturday, so a few things need tweaking.......

Sub 1:30 should be quite possible on a good run.

Ive also been trying this track/car combo... just broken into the 1:28s using a x360 gamepad. Also, im loving the 312T, such a nice feel to it and predictable handling.

I've bought this and pulled my old Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback wheel out of the loft. Does anyone have a profile for this wheel? It's pretty old I know but hoping to get the most out of it. :)

I wish I could get my picture to be this crisp.

I have shimmerring white stuff on some bits like chrome parts and even some noticable jaggies on cars even though I run nspector with 2x SGSS and all ingame AA turned to max (except FXAA). Maye its the drivers?...

Maybe they are using sweetfx.

Also shall we run a weekly/fortnight challenge until multiplayer is out?

We all decide on a car, track, level of assists and in game time of day and everyone in the OCUK Rivali Steam group sets up their best time and the results are shown at the end of the week/2 weeks.

Could be fun :D
