Ok had a play for a little bit with the card, it's pretty quiet when idle, no louder than my case fans. Gets fairly loud under load though, not loud enough that it bothers me when I'm playing with a headset on to be honest. It's definitely louder than my previous 8800GTX under load although I fully expected that.

Judging by the temperatures quoted on that review you could sacrifice a few degrees for quieter running by knocking down the fan speeds a bit......... and I intend to do exactly that when mine gets here on Monday :)

If u dont get the asus in time i wouldnt order the XFX cos chances are everything will be cheaper once u return!

Just had a representive of Asus in the office. Unfortunately he is not the on responsible for the GFX deal. He called the office and everything is fine. However this happened last week also so as soon as I can touch them I will update you.
