At what age am I allowed my own space?

I find flat sharing great, open yourself up to new opportunities! Uni was awesome for this, it allowed me to expand my knowledge and meet new interesting people with things to share. Yeah you do get some that are complete arses but that's life, nothings perfect lol. No one gets to their prime without a falling over a few times first.

This. I've only ever been in £13k jobs, but managed to get a bedsit with an all-in tenancy rate that included bills and council tax. The other housemates were complete nutters, but I rode it out and used that way of living for 3.5 years to save up a deposit for bachelor pad aged 27. Been there 8 years now. Of course it depends on where you live but it can be done.
 
Don't get me wrong I don't expect anything, just really want it!

Those of you who say I'm not doing anything are under informed however it's still a little silly to jump to conclusions. I'm starting my own business currently which is going quite well, I study a FULL time degree in one of the best unis and work in the holidays however the rent is London is ludicrous. I have never not had a job or been in full time education since I was a months older than 16.

I work hard, it's just in my nature to yearn for my own space. No matter how nice the people I end up living with are I still don't want someone in my house, I feel like they are an intruder - I can never relax.

But my real point was people telling me I had to go through it for the sake of my age, which I find very weird. Why do I have to accept someone's made up stupid rule?
 
You don't have to live in flat shares because you're young. You have to live in flat share because you're poor.

You can have your own space once you have sufficient money. Before that, nope. It's not a stupid made up rule, it's trivial economics.

You're deluded then if you think you can afford to live alone while studying a full time degree in London without mummy and daddy's money :p

It's down to money, not 'rules'.
 
Lol, I hold no sympathy for people who believe that everything must be done in London. To choose hardship, and moan about it, is abrasively dysfunctional.

This southeastern firmament, is hilarious to read sometimes.
