ATI/AMD's new Morphological Anti-aliasing

absolutely kills the frame rate in Iracing @5760 x 1080 on a 5870. Which is a shame as i need all the power i can get with that game when running eyefinity and Iracings own render to 3 screens option.

Tried multiple combos of MA AA with other CCC settings including the Iracing ati adaptive aa driver fix on or off, but drops fps to a very jerky 30 fps

Worked fine for me using a 5870.. just copied the content of the txt file in to both the ini files and then installed and rebooted and was away :) Just tested this in gta 4 and it looked very nice with no performance hit at all.

Nice little feature for the 5 series that came out of no where.

The next big expansion for eve online is bringing aa as a feature in the graphic options. I think its released in december some time. This new mlaa looks like a nice addition to the feature list on the 5-6 series.

This is very good for AMD card owners, it makes me wonder why they never thought of something like this before now.

They had something going a while back with a new EATM AA method.

Don't see the point in that screenshot. Texture filtering on the road seems ok, but we're talking anti-aliasing here. Look at the barriers in the left and the railings on the background bridge.

Ah you added a second shot. Fair do's.

Nice one, tis working now. :)

A quick test of ME2, notoriously weird AA results forced in the driver, and it looks really good.

Brings my Left4dead frames rates down real bad on a 5970

That might be why AMD haven't added official support for 5xxx series cards yet. They probably just tested it on the new cards first.
