price and performance
nvidia seem to be helpless, 2 cards here 3 cards there comming into stock, and gibbo says he has stock to last into the new year of AMD's. you can see its going to pan out i think

£299 + VAT seems to be the recommended retail price. Any retailer worth their salt will be undercutting its competitors if they want to sell more than their competitors so I expect prices to be just around £340 for the cheaper AIB cards (Powercolor) and £360 for the higher quality brands (Sapphire).

That almost confirms my thoughts and means that the 6950 1GB will ship for £250 (inc vat) or thereabouts and the 6950 2GB for around £300 (inc vat) making the 570 look like cheap ham in between them.

Is there even one benchmark there that's 30%? Dont think so, more like 10-20% which still aint bad, but then it is in-house AMD benchmarks, if it is indeed genuine.

14.4% average improvement according to those figures (taking "best-guess" of each to the closest integer %). Hardly "20-30%" and not even remotely close to the "30-40%" figure you extracted from your rectum earlier this week.

Still, more performance than I was expecting if it turns out to be valid

I'm hearing the distribution people are moving huge amounts of cards, and massive orders are being filled. Usually if a firm places orders in bulk its at heavily discounted rates.

If they stock a Sapphire 6970 here at £300 incl VAT, I honestly won't be hesitating to purchase it. No thought process needed its a green light.
