##Atomic Heart thread##

Anyone playing this on gamepass? Does it have HDR support, I've read conflicting stories. (I'm a huge OLED HDR snob these days and if a new release doesn't support HDR it can do one and I can't be bothered downloading to find out)

Edit - just found out SpecialK HDR works so may give that a try...

There are ways, but I mean, even if the person doesnt get it for a quid, its what...7.99 for a month on Gamepass. Again, you'd have to be pretty stingy, or have FAR worse issues that you should probably be focussing on in life, to not spare £7.99 and need to grab a leaked version instead :D

Aye, very true and that 7.99 gives you access to all the other games on Gamepass, not just Atomic Heart!

Some people be tighter than a ducks arse though!

Every time i go to play this game i have to wait for a massive update to download (series X)

67GB yesterday, and 15GB just now....

I wish the industry was a million times better at actually finishing products before they release them.

Never gonna happen now, it's the industry standard to release a half-assed game for Joe Public to beta-test it for free, and (maybe) patch it up later.
 
Managed to get SpecialK HDR injection working on this! Was tricky to set up but well worth the effort. This is a great looking and great performing game and is begging for HDR, especially with OLED. Running custom ultrawide 3840x1620 too. Looks amazing.

Why the devs have taken out HDR for the release is beyond me, although not surprising as most devs seem to be smoking crack these days (HDR was apparently in the dev build, and Ray tracing!) I'm using the Gamepass version btw.

Even more annoying is the fact that it has had two major updates but I still get laggy 30fps animations on bots that are in the distance (though not actually that far!).

I don't think you need to even use DLSS at all on a 3080ti with 60fps vsync.My 6800 gets 50-60ps on 4k max settings,so you should easily have a locked 60 on a 3080ti

All I was trying to say was I wish there was a mute button for that crap. Not sure why you twisted that into making it sound like I would prefer a bad writing and a silent protagonist over good writing overall. Like that just makes no sense.

You still salty because I did not like Daymare 1998? You are probably one of the few people on the forum who rates that game so highly :p
 
Going to put Hogwarts on hold and start playing this tonight. Kind of worried Microsoft is going to get forced to take it off gamepass soon :cry:

I can always get a steam copy in a few years on the cheap and play it in it's full glory if I enjoy it.
 
I’ll be trying the English voice actors tonight. I don’t feel more immersion have Russian voices, I just feel constantly distracted having to read text while trying to enjoy the game :p

I reacted to what you wrote; if you do not want to be "twisted", write clearer. Daymare has nothing to do with it, I am fine with people having opinions (although it would be preferable if those opinions were based on more than first hour of a 12 hour game, but I realize that's asking too much :))

Anyway. Just started Atomic Heart. Graphics look very good. Long intro though. Reminded me of Preys intro a little.
