Audi owners in here!

So the new TT prices are up:

http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/audi/production/PDF/PriceAndSpecGuides/tt.pdf

Looks like they have jacked the price up significantly. I got mine brand new for around £28k in March, the equivalent spec'd Mk3 is going to be over £40k!

This is good news for me as it means the newer MK2's should hold their value better. Apparently some Audi dealers have already started increasing the price on approved used ones.

Was that the brochure price or what you actually paid for it though? When I looked at an equivalent spec TT when I bought my 'S it came out at about £40k as well.

What I actually paid for it, list price was £33k something.

Pretty sure they won't be offering much, if any discounts on a brand new model though!

Just had a look through the new TT Brochure, first time really looking at the MK3.

Man that interior look is so nice, no centre screen and all in the instrument cluster is the way forward (like the new Lamborghinis).

But, I am not at all a fan of the new exterior styling, the front end just doesn't look right and I dread what they are doing with the next R8!

Sure in a year or so it will just look like normal Audi styling as the current ones do but right now I don't like it.

What do others think?

I didn't like it at all at first, but it seems to be growing on me more and more.

As you say though the interior looks really really nice

The outgoing TT 2.0T FSI Quattro S-Line was RRP £33.9k inc VAT
The new model TT 2.0T FSI Quattro S-Line is RRP £34.5k inc VAT

Not much of an increase really : £600 approx

Typical Audi though - Expensive options

That doesn't seem right to me...

Mine is a TT 2.0 TFSI Black Edition Quattro S-Tronic with Tech and Comfort packs, list price wasn't more than 34k for that and I got nearly 6k off the asking price

Maybe the price you have for the old one is from when it was first released?

Why is Audi extended warranty so expensive compared to BMW's?

For my A5:

Comprehensive
Roadside
Unlimited mileage in the year
£0 excess

£1150

Or:

Comprehensive
Roadside
Unlimited mileage in the year
£250 excess

£750

These are slightly rounded up, but when you can get warranty on an F10 or E9x for several hundred less it makes me wonder.

The a/c fan is noisy, the part is £200 and then there's labour on top, and I may be able to get the nav upgraded due to the previously mentioned voice fault with it. So I'm in two minds whether I should pay out or not.

I also have 9 months remaining RAC cover so the roadside seems pointless.

Finally replaced the AC compressor. My word what a difference. The car runs smoother, MUCH quieter and some annoying rattles from the cabin have disappeared. Truly amazing.

The compressor was knackered and apparently there were 'some screws missing', whatever that means.
Unfortunately they couldn't source a Sanden compressor in time so I got another OEM one. Doubt I'll have the car long enough for the new one to break. :)

In other news... Top Tip:
Don't jet wash your windscreen if you have a small crack :p

Or do. There aint much force behind a pressure washer, not compared to the likes of a stone kicked up at 70+ mph. I'd rather my screen broke when I wasn't in the car, travelling fast, with my kids in there too.

Just got feed up of putting tyres (2000k worth in 17 months on the Q7) so i went Audi Stoke this mornining and chopped it in for a Audi A7 3.0 BiTDi quattro Black Edition, pick it up in the morning.

Yes i know as Mr Fox will no doubt point out, pre 64 plate, pre facelift in November i must be mad, but the pre facelift changes on this engine is just 7bhp more and its just the lights and updated MMI (as far as i can find out) which i don't care about that much, the £14,000+ they knocked off it was more interesting to me.

The grey one.

Better Pics to follow.

Sounds ok too, 55 secs in.

From one Audi with 21" wheels to another with 21" wheels.

Will there be any saving in tyre costs?

Q7's are notorious for tyre wear this model supposed to have improved suspension geometry to help but my last rear set only did 5000 miles, whether or not it was because i changed the suspension settings from comfort to dynamic was the cause i don't know, time for a change anyway ;)
