Audi owners in here!

Yeah, my Jukebox and SD interface seem identical :S

Also 2x64GB SD cards obviously give a tad more storage :P

Thanks for the comments on the lead, ill grab one now - ta :)

The a3 mmi supposedly takes up to 2tb sd cards and as far as the juke box storage is concerned it isn't a mechanical hard drive so it will not have the associated issues. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tech/ne...ch-you-get-in-the-new-a3.html#~p8BqEzTDmMj1SZ It will also play dvd's, but not when the car is moving as this is illegal in the uk, however, and why I'd don't know, some owners have reprogrammed the vcds to allow for the videos to be viewed on the move.http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/8v-vcds-mods.206515/

I need to get an SD card sorted again but to be honest, I find bluetooth music streaming to be the easiest for me. I tend to just get in my car, whip out my iphone, pick a playlist/song then stick it on shuffle and put it away. It doesn't display song title/data etc on my TT when doing this though - I believe you need AMI set up for that. (The A1 used to display metadata on screen though, and that didn't have AMI so I dunno. :p)

I struggled to follow the above conversation, so could someone tell me if there's any benefit to going either Jukebox or Dual SD over my iPod touch in the centre console? That's what I've been using on the Focus and I was just going to do the same thing.

The only reason (IMO) to ditch iPod/iPhone (over AMI) is if you have another need for the AMI slot.

None of the other media sources have any benefits over using an iPod/iPhone.

Oh no! My iPod touch is 1st Gen!

Oh man. I suppose it could be time to retire the old boy.

Super, thanks. Assuming it is compatible ill just use the iPod then.

Just connect your phone up by Bluetooth and that's it, whenever you get in the car it will connect itself and start playing where you left off.

Also, the * button function on the steering wheel can be changed, next song is by far the best option for it.

I stand corrected - after a bit of a play if you go "up" again from the browser (as per the SD playback / interface) you get the

OPtion to sort by xxx

Which SD doesn't have, nor the coverflow sort

And The Dictator !

To be fair i prolly wont use the "additional" sort function of the Jukebox but will take advantage of the extra storage space :D

I dont have any music on my phone, I like to keep everything seperate. Im one of those people.

Its cool, i'll figure it out. It's nothing that sounds expensive so just a case of figuring out the best option.

Cheers for letting me know about that button though. I probably will change it to that. The Focus has a whole media control arm on the wheel that goes forward, back and volume so i'd miss having that there.

The small volume knob in the centre has back, forward, pause, mute and off. You can do forward, volume and mute on the right side of the steering wheel.

I have 2 sd cards and a 160gb ipod connected in the A4, and both are as good as each other. I have the MMI 3G with 3d maps, cant fault the infotainment at all to be fair. Never found the music over BT much cop tho, but that could be an android thing.

Hey guys .. I was thinking of getting an A4 , was thinking the 2L tfsi. With all the talk of oil issues on either the 1.8 or 2L i am not sure its a good idea. Can any one give any pointers, is the issue for all petrol engines ? or just a given year ?

After reading some horror stories, and {SAS}TB's account on here, I've pretty much ruled out an A5 TFSI which I've been looking at the last few weeks.

My S3 2.0 TFSI doesn't have a drinking problem though.
