My C7 Audi A6 didn't come with DAB as standard in 2011.

If the current shape Superb was available when i purchased my car, i know which one i would have gone for now!

I know it's an option on the B8 A4. It's easy to spot as they have the Isofix covers for the hooks like BMWs. I've seen many for sale without them.

I stupidly didn't check mine when I got it as I assumed the C6 had them as standard. Retrofitting is extremely simple, thankfully.

The C7 doesn't even come with Isofix as standard either. I wish I got an F11 as well, but my budget only stretched to early, high-mileage 520ds. No thanks

5 Series didnt have standard DAB in 2011 either to be fair to the A6.

Picked mine up yesterday

Not as flash as max Powah's but I'm pleased with it so far.
Also free Sat nav which is a bonus

I do like the s3 alloys... Also free sat nav due to the October changes?

The rs3 increased in price by £800 in October but the tech pack with the sat nav decreased by around £300 due to the changes. (Probably to fund the VW debacle!)

I am currently anticipating a Monday pick up for it also

Guess i was lucky with mine, rear and one in the front. (I only use the rear ones).

I think the facelift C7 is now a very good purchase as it come with most things i am missing as standard.

Yup the free sat Nav was something to do with the October changes, although I didn't know anything about that until I picked it up, so was a nice surprise.

It's not 'free' its included in the list price. Come on guys. Unless the steering wheel is free too?

I assume it's "free" as he ordered it prior to the change (the list price went up) and therefore he didn't pay the higher list price but got the nav anyway.

What's it being a hatchback got to do with anything?

It'd be the same situation if it were a 3 series saloon...

Less than £40k? Isn't the base price £40,795 without any options?!

My point was that it isn't a cheap car, which is why increasingly the standard equipment gets better and the price increases. The standard stuff isn't free, its included in the price.

Though in this example it does appear that there was a brief period during which you could probably legitimately claim you got free nav

I think your reading too much into this... Audi increased the price of the RS3 by around £800 around October time and as part of that increase they also included the upgraded sat nav for free. Which was previously part of the tech pack which is now £300 cheaper. It always had sat nav just not the upgraded one. Therefore if you specced the tech pack for other reasons the car was only circa £500 more. I am of the understanding a similar thing happened with the S3. Plenty of new cars have an option for a better sat nav I am sure..

But he ordered the car prior to the price increase, and was given nav anyway.

They also filled it up with fuel and gave me a mug, keyfob and travel cup.

Yes the SD card Sat Nav is now included with the 'Nav' version of the A3 and in the S3. I bet though Audi has bumped up the price like they did when DAB became standard...
