Audi owners in here!

Also I've concluded that Audi owns BMW on infotainment stuff

The general concencous is the complete opposite!! Remember your 5 Series had the system which was first launched in 2008, compared to a 2008 era Audi system it was miles better. It was replaced in 2012 with another improved system.

The one in my R8 is garbage. The new A4 however is nice and better than the most modern BMW I remember using in a 640D last year.

The one in your R8 is simply the same as the A3 had in 2006, it is garbage.

Yes, yes it does.

Same as the one in the RS4 I had. Not that it bothers me frankly, hifi sounds OK but if I had paid list for the hifi upgrade (circa 8K think) I would be mighty annoyed as it's not that good.

Surely you might as well have bought a brand new one - they are available at £10-13k off list depending on model.

I think this one books at £48,895 or something like that so I will have to look into this further if I can save that sort of money on new. That's said, I don't want to wait 12 weeks :(

Coast2Coast cars can get one at your spec (ie, the options you said) for £36k on the road.

I'd want to be paying under £33k for a second hand one to make it worth sacrificing new in this example I think.

The B&O upgrade is the one to have, but also rediculously expensive!

Ive never really understood the infotainment argument, they all seem to do similar jobs with a slightly different take on things. The only thing that makes one better than the other is the screen resolutions, i have the mmi 3g, and thats a nice looking screen, one of the reasons that i didnt bother with a A6 S line, the std screen is poo and tiny!

What I don't understand with Audi is why the screens are such a pathetic size. Even if you spec the mega ultra screen version it's still small.

£37,073 with exactly the same options. So at £34k not much less than new I admit, but still a saving, only 12 weeks old and no waiting. Plus a lot of these deals require the buyer to use finance and I'm not into finance deals.

Then take the finance for the discount, and pay it off after 3 months.

That's how my mother bought her Polo, VWFS advised her to do it that way too.

Yea, a £3k saving and no wait kinda tips the balance. It's close though!

Extra £2200 for the B&O upgrade I believe. At least the A6 has a screen that can be hidden. The HDD 8" screen option isn't bad. I really dislike the stuck up permanent idea of some of the screens.

B&O is more like a £6k upgrade that a £2k upgrade, on the A6, and you need to have the Tech pack to spec it too.

I had B&O in my 2012 A4 Black Edition A4. I'm quite sure it was a completely different spec of B&O though. It did sound good though. Not sure if it was worth any extra over the HK in my 5 series though.

It's HUGE in the A4 and you also get 2 screens as you can replicate the view between the rev counter and speedo.
