Audi owners in here!

Any MK3 TT owners here? Considering one at the moment, but it's been debadged (Quattro and TT on the rear) - if I do buy it, can someone measure the badge positions up please so I can rebadge it? :p
 
What do you mean...that's stock. There is no TFSI badge as standard. On my fwd I get TT and the four rings, that's all.

The diesel one gets a small TDI Ultra badge on one side.

edit: or have I read your post wrong? :o

Not so much the TFSI, but I was under the impression the Quattro had a TT badge on the left, and a Quattro badge on the right?

As i've got your attention though, how do you find the car? :)

Conti's and Michelin PSS are the two "go to" tyres for most "sporty" Audis and both are extremely good.

My personal preference is for the Michelins but as their stock levels are fluctuating daily I may soon have to swap to the Conti SC6.

On an A3 I'd personally be going for a PS4 over a PSS.

Whilst I do love the car, I'd have gone for either the older S4 2.7t, newer 3.0tfsi or the old C5 RS6 if I was going to do it again! The 4.2 you just can't force that much power from it. I'm probably around 380-90 but that's really all I'm going to see unless I strap a SC on it for 10k!
There is no doubting that with full stainless system, deleted front boxes and X pipe on it, it sounds ridiculous ha I have been stopped by French police before just because it set off car alarms. :D

Honestly though, a 4.2 V8 isn't exactly slow in the first place. I chose mine over the 3.0tfsi version and I'd do the same again. Having had V8s before (C5 RS6 and E39 M5) I chose my S5 because of the engine and I absolutely adore the sound :cool:

Will totally miss it when its gone.

I know what you're saying. It's part of the reason I got rid of mine.

But, numbers aren't everything, and that V8 is nice enough as is to not NEED to go all out. It's the only car I've had where I have considered actually looking for another.

I think when mine's back with new clutch (it's been slipping a year, so not been able to "properly" appreciate it) I'll feel the love again!

Especially as it sounds like this

I'd say it (black in general) is a bit of an enthusiast/detailers colour and will need a lot of work to be kept in good looking condition ... Not a £5 car wash jobbie :D

I love it...one of the best cars I've driven (not that I've got that much experience driving other cars :o ).

It's so much more modern then the mk2 TT. Better in every way in my opinion.


 
Someone on the TT forum just picked this up. I actually really like some of the more colourful colours you can get the TT/TTS in...I also love the solar orange colour. This one is Viper Green:
 
Does anyone have a copy of the S3 Saloon brochure for early 2016 cars, I can't find it anywhere.

Off to look at a S3 Saloon on Monday so want to have the spec in my head before seeing the car.

When paying on the never never i can understand picking such a colour, however as an actual ownership prospect, not a chance....
 
I used to love the bronze colour Nissan painted the P11 Primera back in the day, now it looks horrific (much like a ginger 350z does).

Will be interesting to see if orange and green are still in favor in 5 years time.
