Ah well my TT is now in QC, I can stop any regrets on not ticking every option box, or having not ordered the RS

Just a month or so to go now, and I am away for almost 2 weeks on the in the caribbean

Also ordered a new company car recently. A4 Avant SLine 2.0T STronic with tech and comfort / sound packs. Due in December hopefully.

Coming from a 330d that has done me proud for 4 years. Will be sorry to see it go but looking forward to a change.

Nice but are company cars really worth it any more? That car will cost around £160 a month in tax, rising to £190 by 2019. Double that if you're paying 40% tax. The rates are getting daft which is why I've opted out after 20 years.

They are not worth it, but if you are doing a decent amount of miles, some companies do not allow people to opt out, or place such daft requirements if you can opt out, thats its not worth it.

Fair question and it is getting closer depending on your useage/allowance.

I do about 30k a year business miles so company car still just wins for me vs the cash option offered.

Not the benefit it used to be though financially I agree having also had a company car for many years.

Yeah probably still (just about) makes sense with that kind of mileage. Mine had been a pure perk for years as I don't do any business mileage any more.

I think for anyone doing over 20k pa business mileage, it still makes sense to go for the company car option, most PCP deals seem to be for low mileages, and to do that amount of miles on a private car means the scope for being financially better off (if you have to buy a car with your allowance) isnt there.

Nice to know, I do like how the BMW cars drive but I don't like the interiors at all.

My main gripe is the non pivotal armrest.

Hopefully eventually get an RS4 as I love them, B7 my favourite model to date.

Good car the old B7, here is mine about to quote me happy on the rolling road back in the day...

....though for happy read sad as none of them get close to the BHP Audi claims, sadly. If you can get over the fact they are not as quick as you might imagine and they are in good fettle then they are a great road car for all weathers.

Picked up my new TT at the weekend. This is quite a step up from my previous cars, a Xsara VTS Coupe and a A4 1.9TDi Sport (B6) which has gone off to be scrapped.

An early xmas present from my parents was a half car cover (http://www.just-carcovers.co.uk/waterproof-half-car-cover-audi-tt-coupe-2007-onwards-i1587.html). Fits OK but as mentioned by @Kevin Clark the door mirror pockets are in position for the MK II so don't really fit. You can put the mirrors in but then you are a little short of elastic at the front to get the straps properly under the car. With them off the cover is a little loose around the front windows and will flap in strong breeze as I found out this morning, gusts of 40-50mph here! Might see if my mums sowing skills are up to moving them. For now it's doing the job of keeping the worst of the crap off the car where I park at home.

A couple of shots taken at my parents house, which was first stop after I picked it up. It'll probably never look this good again!

My car is strictly 'pov spec'

1.8 TFSI Sport with the only option being the paint. Although as I found out when I picked it up I also have hill hold assist as the car was sourced from existing stock by my dealer. Happy days and hopefully many years of trouble free motoring ahead.

Got a pretty bad coolant look on my 2004 A4 B6 1.8t avant.

Reading Audi forums online it looks like a nightmare job and going to be £££

Anyone on here had similar experience with the engine/coolant issue?

Had a pretty bad coolant leak on my Leon Cupra R (1.8T 225PS) way back when. Was the thermostat housing. Not a particularly big, nor hard job, DIY'd in about an hour. Also had a leak from the turbo coolant feed a year or so later, that was more of a nightmare as it was 2 feet above the floor, between the bulkhead and the engine block, still DIY'd it in half a day though.

Depends where the leak is coming from.
