If you record off the Sky F1 HD channel (406) it only does HD, you need to go to home/sports/ultra HD and set it to record from there.

@chriscatt Yea, mine did the same....hope they fix that for next time....129gb file later :p
Pretty terrible that they make you do that on a box designed for UHD. Facepalm for the man who signed off on that :D

Well I'm glad I didn't get out of bed early to watch that. The only excitement of the race was generated because Haas had consecutive car failures due to their pitstops.

Can anyone tell me what changed between the virtual safety car being called and the actual safety car being called that didn't warrant the actual safety car to begin with? aside from Vettel being allowed to jump Hamilton. The virtual safety car has just become another tool in the FIA's arsenal to opportunistically manipulate races/standings to make things 'more entertaining'.

Oh come on. Where mere incompetence suffices there is no need to invoke malice. This is the problem with the VSC, it's used as cover while the directors decide whether to SC.

I knew it would only be a matter of minutes before someone called that :D

I do think they go the VSC call wrong though, it should have been clear it would take time to clear the car, it should have been a safety car outright.

In all seriousness though they need to relax this death by rules of F1, open up the sort to sportsmanship, allow some element of guile from teams, get rid of this bloody three engine/component ********, as someone who just wants to watch an entertaining race of the supposedly pinnacle of motorsport make it fun and not a procession.

I have no allegiance to anyone all I want to be on a Sunday afternoon is entertained by the beat thrashing it out on a track.

I guess they thought they could push the car under double yellows so VSC, when they could not they needed a tractor on track then SC.
