AVATAR: FRONTIERS OF PANDORA

Welp... the code that has been supplied within the invoice with my recent purchase of 7950X3D at Overclockers.co.uk appears to be already used - was hoping to start preloading it already :(

I have an invoice in my name if that's what you're asking for - I've bought it here... It's OK, mistakes happen, wouldn't be the first time same code has been sent to more than one person - I'm just disappointed I wont get to start downloading it early with my crap Internet speed. I did email support but it will take them a while to respond obviously.

Been playing it today, exceptional in my opinion.

Unfortunately I'm having to use the older 23.11.1 AMD driver as the 23.12.1 caused my system to grey screen on start up, I've got everything cranked up to the max at 1440p with my 7900 xtx pushing AVG 130-150fps, I assume it would have been better with the newer driver as says it's optimized for Avatar.

Only issue I've come across is a tiny bit of stutter when moving the camera, certainly playable tho and not hindering my experience

Better question, is it just another Far Cry clone? I really dont wanna spend if its just another far cry clone.

No I wouldn't say it is, I've put a couple of hours in to it now, you get skill points that you use for improving your character.

I took out a drilling station, now I'm not sure if that's a "outpost" so to speak but I haven't come across any map scanning points.

Arrow crafting Is the same as AC tho

Might give this a try later next year, no rush just yet to jump on this. Can imagine this will drop in price relatively quickly like with the far cry games.

This runs like a dream on my new rig all maxed out using GTX4070 and Intel i7 1270 coupled with a G-SYNC monitor. It's like no Far Cry I've ever played and it's just magical in parts with so much going on with insects and animals and plants that can attack you etc. I only had a couple of minor fights outdoors so far but just reached the resistance headquarters.

I've spent a lot of time fiddling with the key settings to suit me being left handed, I found 2 keys that refuse to be altered, F being one.

Had fun playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora this afternoon. It has more of an emphasis on exploration, survival, crafting & hunting compared to the Far Cry games ( which I don't enjoy ) and much less combat - it is there, but it's not in your face every 5 secs. Runs well too, and the visuals look fantastic.
