Cameron has had a crazy career, incredibly few films directed but the first and third highest grossing films of all time, and real classics like Terminator 1&2 and Aliens among them.
i don't think it all post conversion 3d, as he pioneer the the actual 3d Camera technology that he used to film the original avatar movie, post conversion came a long after that as it was cheap process.I'm assuming, as most of the film is a cartoon, that the 3d is a post conversion? 3 hours with 3D glasses, no thanks..
Good story or just top notch CGI?Saw it last night in 3D super screen. Wow. As said above the cgi was insane and some scenes were breathtaking.

i rewatched part 1 a few weeks ago and i enjoyed this one better.
id say try watch it in cinema if you can. 3hrs flew by for me
