Drivers want to win.
He was leading for most of this race... he felt he had the speed to be infront of Bottas, but obviously was proven wrong at the end.

Granted, but he made a mistake in executing that move and it ultimately cost him the win.

Just like Max - Max is very quick and wants to race/overtake/win but he has shown that too much hotheadedness just ends in DNF's or losing places.

A good driver has to find the balance and know when the right time is to make a move (don't get me wrong, i am not saying Vettel isn't a good driver - he is one of the best on the grid)

great race, Riccardo at fault for me in that crash, Max fainted to the right and Ric didnt read it well enough

His fainting to the right was his one permitted move, he then moved back over to the left which is what caught Ric out. Vers at fault for making a second move imo.

I'm not sure it's ever happened. I've made it back to 2000 and not got close and prior to that we had some shocking teams.

Considering the number of laps left in the race and the fact that it would have been eating at him that Bottas lucked into P1... I don't blame him that he took a calculated risk.
It didn't work, but he leaves the race with a haul of points instead of nil points.

Riciardo admitted he left his final move too late.

Why are they there, what are they doing?

They are there to swiftly end the interview if the driver starts saying something too inappropriate.

FIA wants to help mercedes as much as they can

8 For me, wasnt a great race in the classic sense, but there was plenty of action throughout, and its was quite enjoyable to watch. Made more exciting by some GP2 style bumper car style fun, and some downright questionable moves.

The redbull battle was great, the grosjean incident killed the end of the race IMO

feel gutted for vettel would have won the race IMO

Has anything been published yet? What did he actually do? If it's a question of a tiny misjudgement on the 1s rule then stewards should show discretion on a manual call.
