Hold on... is this because one of the DRS zones wasn't working and all the drivers had to use DRS manually and being penalised for it?
I guess out of DRS zone presumably?

Turned off and went to shops as Vettel looking to romp home with Hamilton struggling
Just turned TV on to see he’s won!
And championship leader?

:( karma that destroyed the lives of Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and was close to destroy the lives of Rubens Barichelo and Felipe Massa, while keeping Fernando Alonso off his third title. That is the mario effect karma.
Maybe Vettel is involved there too inside the Ferrari :(
 
Just watching Vettels interview there.... fair play to him, well chosen words, doesn't seem overly emotional about it. Accepts what happened was completely his fault...
Pick up the pieces and move on to the next race...

Drivers want to win.
He was leading for most of this race... he felt he had the speed to be infront of Bottas, but obviously was proven wrong at the end.

Bottas Karma - Got lucky safety car deployed when it came did...
Then got the puncture.

He was going to finish ahead of Hamilton irrespective of the safety car. He had enough of a lead (looking at the Red Bull stops) and would have had a much faster tyre on when he came out.
 
Race 1, Melbourne: Verstappen spins, going from 5th to 8th.
Race 2, Bahrain: Spins in qualifying, crashes into Hamilton and retires as a result.
Race 3, China: Crashes into Vettel.
Race 4, Baku: Hits Ricciardo, weaves down straight and then weaves into Ricciardo's path and immediately brakes.

I'm not blaming Verstappen 100% for today's contact, but it was an idiotic thing to do. What the hell is going on in his head.
 
Before Riccardo switched to the US he was ahead of Verstappen.
But after both switched (one lap after the other) Verstappen ended up ahead having one additional lap on the SS.
I don't think Riccardo made a mistake, but with the cold temperatures, it seems the US were taking a long time to get up to speed than the SS/Softs.
Its open to interpretation and debate, I don't think its a clear cut "yes he would've caught him and passed".
