I sent mine on Sunday and he's been very quick to respond in the past. So I was getting concerned this is what happens if he considers your offer too low (I didn't think it was but I always worry) or that my email just didn't send...

I haven't had a response either so I assume he is A) Very busy or B) on annual leave or similar.

If your offer is too low, he'll just respond telling you that or just replying saying that they won't accept that offer.
 
Made an offer today, not sure what people generally offer compared to the advertised price but they can always say no I suppose

I know of things going for less than I'd have made an offer for, but feel bad for some reason making low offers, I should really get over that.
Check 2nd hand, knock off a bit more ?
 
How do you bid on stuff?

you don't bid, its not ebay, you just make an offer on the item you want to purchase
