I meant way below as in worse, ie. you can't go much lower than taking skag, losing your teeth then robbing your gran for more skag money.

I can edit the original post if it's causing this much confusion?

Oh right, I understand :)

I think the only people who like Doherty are NME, who can't seem to get enough of the guy.

I personally can't stand him.

NME like everyone with floppy mod hair, especially if they're in an Indie band called "The somethings..." They might as well print their magazine on toilet paper for all it's worth.

Strangely though Doherty has short, non floppy hair, and is in a band that doesn't start with 'the'...

How do you explain this strange turn in their band liking system?

I think somebody heard the start of a sum41 video and has decided to repeat it at every available opportunity.
:o

Well he was in "The Libertines", and that's where he was made famous by NME. The fact he's in a different band now doesn't change the fact that NME started raving madly about him while he was in "The Libertines".

You aren't honestly trying to tell me NME is a credible music magazine are you? Because that would be hilarious.

Oh and:

Laughable, seeing as Big Chris actually listens to good music, so I sincerely doubt Sum41 are a major influence on him.

Can't say as i've even read 'the' NME tbh. You seem to know a lot about them though.

I'm with Big Chris and Carzy, NME love anyone beginning in "The", big hair or nay.

I mean, they declared the strokes' Is This It "The Greatest Album Of All Time" when it came out. **** off.

They're the ultimate bandwagon jumper-onners (:P), no sense of perspective about them. Used to be okay too.

Aye, maybe they do, I just find it bizarre that a national music magazine could sell well with those kind of ideas.

Because most people don't know the first thing about good music because a lot of good music doesn't make it into the mainstream media. Kerrang is a very well selling music magazine, it doesn't mean they have the first clue about what they are talking about :p And as hogfather says, they are amazingly poor bandwagon jumpers.

Gilly will be confused as I am right now after reading that :p Basically you said, there are drugs far worse than "skag", and now you've just said "skag" is the worst drug you can do :p

Edit:

Bingo. Thats how I read it too. Its the worst of the lot IMO.

Yeah, that's exactly right mate, nail on the head. I can't form opinions or make observations of my own so I rely on music videos for direction.

My statement was perhaps a little sweeping, seeing as I'm sure not every Indie band has floppy hair or is called "The somethings..." but I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what I was getting at, as did everyone else who read my post, you were just being overly pedantic - well done.

That's what I was getting at, see my previous post.

Listen to the music guys, like it? fair enough. Dont like it? Keep it to yourself, no need to go around badmouthing someone for stating his opinion.
So because our opinions don't match that of yours and the OP's we need to keep it to ourselves, even though we were asked for our opinions? And anything that does disagree in a polite way is also badmouthing someone? Thats a new one on me.

I'd retort with what that deserves, but as I'm bound by the same rules as everyone else I don't think I'll bother.

In my opinion pete is one of the better songwriters around at the moment.

This is a music forum, the point is purely to insult other people's music taste!
