Bahrain Grand Prix 2013, Sakhir - Race 4/19

I think Seb will be back in the mix this weekend. As long as the current top four keep trading places it will remain interesting. Hamilton needs a win though.

Bahrain is a rear-limited track, RB excel at that so I'd fully expect them to be up there.

China is just an odd circuit, and goes against the norm being front-limited.

I'll go...

Oh, on the last lap? Yeah that cost him a pass on Hamilton.

I thought you mean't he had blown the whole race or made a bad strategy call or something.

Yeah, it's strange with Vettel. He has a reputation for being ultra reliable, and not making many mistakes but I think when he's under pressure he makes an above average number of errors for a top driver. Similarly, he has a reputation for not being able to overtake well, but I feel like he's quite a tidy overtaker when he needs to be. Finally everyone thinks he's an exceptional qualifying specialist. He was in 2011 but Webber beat him I think 7 times last year, which I wouldn't expect Webber to do against a Lewis or Alonso.

So basically, I'm a massive contrarian when it comes to opinions of Vettel.

If i had to choose one driver to get the me the fastest time possible (taking cars out of the equation) i would choose Hamilton.

If i had to choose one to win a race(again taking cars out of the equation) it would be much harder (would be out of Vettel,Hamilton,Alonso and Kimi i think)

Vettel has the skill when it comes to leading from the front. His first 2 lap pace at the start of a race leaves him untouchable, even by the likes of Hamilton or Alonso.

However, throw him back into the pack and as you say its not as clear cut.

There is no perfect driver out there at the moment, they all have flaws in various areas.

McLaren team-mates Jenson Button and Sergio Perez get to know each other at the team's base in Woking.

When Perez asks Button if there is anything he should do differently to Lewis Hamilton, Button playfully suggests tweeting.

Last season, Hamilton made public some important technical data from the McLaren team on the social media site Twitter.

Former world champion Button left Brawn GP to join McLaren in 2010, while Mexican Perez joined from Sauber at the start of 2013.

Yay! Heikki's back. :D

Going to do 2 FP1's with Caterham over the next 2 races to evaluate the car as it currently stands, the updates, the 2013 tyres all compared to the 2012 car. Given that the car currently is just an updated version of the 2012, it shouldn't take him too long to be faster than Pic or Van Der Garde. ;)

I'd agree with vettel not being as good when not at the front.. Alonso and Hamilton do much better here

Kimi has been exceptional.. Being an Enstone supporter I have to admit I thought it was a mistake initially signing him
I also expected rg to be doing better as often he was faster than Kimi last year
